The darkness loomed closer the fog that covered the clearing seemed like a joke played by one of the cats from Starclan. But no cat from the ancestors she was among would play such a joke. Not at times as serious as this.

"Swiftminnow, you need to send the prophecy at some point." Pointed out the voice behind her. "I'm thinking about it, Rainstar!" She answered irritably.

Rainstar placed his tail on her shoulder. "I know you're feeling pressured, but, you can always leave it to one of us." He gestured to the Starclan camp.

Swiftfminnows heart lurched at the thought of abandoning her duty. "What?! Why would you even say that? I'm going to finish what I started. I always finish what I started."

"Not always." He murmured. Swiftminnow wasn't going to let him know how she felt about what he said

"I don't think I should be the one giving prophecies" she whispered under her breath.
"Don't mind it. Give me a few more moments to decide. Then I will deliver it to Wingclan."

"To Wingclan?!" Rainstar sounded outraged. "Why does Wingclan get to be the first to know?" He demanded.

Swiftminnows pelt bristled, feelings forgotten. "And what? You think Ridgeclan is 'the best clan' just because you grew up in it? Because you led it? Your reign is over Rainclaw"

Not thinking, Rainstar slashed at her eye. Swiftminnow let out a howl of pain before slashing at Rainstars eye.

Rainstar reared onto his hindlegs and batted at her face. Swiftminnow sprouted out beautiful
Silver wings, she sliced his nose with her powerful claws and when Rainstar tried to hit her she folded her wings around herself, creating a cocoon.

Rainstar went around her and slashed his claws at where her wings sprouted out, and slashed them off with a powerful blow. She let a screech of pain escape her and she collapsed to the side.

Rainstar looked down at his bloodstained paws, their fight forgotten. "Swiftminnow!" He crouched down by her side.

There was a pool of blood around them. "You don't really belong in Starclan, do you?" She managed to choke.

"Swiftminnow..." his voice trailed off as she feel limp. Suddenly, she reawakend. Not sitting
up, just staying in her dying position.

"Find the pool of blood, for only it can see behind the shadows" and Swiftminnow went stiff, death had finally gotten a grip on her soul.

"Whenever you are Swiftminnow, you've a earned your peace." Rainstar murmured, grief stricken. "But I, I need to deliver this prophecy."

"No, you won't" said an anonymous voice. Rainstar whipped around. Snarling in defiance at the voice that denied his duty.

"And who are you to decide that?" Sakes Rainstar. He didn't need to see the cat to know it was grinning. "I, am one eye."
