Leopardpaw
Leopardpaw was pleased to be on the Rogue finding patrol. "Remember, only fight if necessary!" Yowled Hollystar. Ravenclaw had taken lead of the patrol, for only he knew where the rogues were.
Leopardpaw was padding confidently beside Cedarbranch. "Keep your head down. This isn't a ceremony" Cedarbranch snapped. His tone sounded like the anger was forced.
Leopardpaw obediently lowered her head and slackened her pace. She didn't want to be near Cedarbranch.
Leopardpaw found herself beside Clearshine. "So you're the new apprentice?" She asked Leopardpaw. "Yes!" She replied. "You seem strong. I guess we'd be lucky to have you on our team if it comes to a fight" She sniffed. Darkclan warriors or apprentices didn't make compliments lightly.
"Thank you" She said. Is fighting and being broad-shouldered the only thing that matters to them? She thought bitterly.
Ravenclaw halted and crouched under a bush. The rest of the patrol followed.
"I smell rogue!" Whispered Dawnpaw. Leopardpaw opened her mouth to taste the scent. "It smells like Crow-food!" She whispered. Clearshine twitched her whiskers. "That's probably the only thing they eat" Dawnpaw added. "Shh! I hear pawsteps" Mewed Juniperbush quietly.
The whole patrol fell silent. Nobody even twitched a whisker. Leopardpaw pricked her ears. "Why are we here?" Groaned the rogue. "To get that little Vanish! I heard she was meeting up with one of her kittypet friends!" Mocked the other rogue.
"Oh please, Flick" Mewed the She-cat. "You can't possibly want anything to do with Vanish" she padded close to Flick. Flick flinched at her, her breath ruffling his fur.
"I guess.." his voice trailed off as the She-cat made a hurt expression. "Do you still love her?" Her face contorted into rage. "Flick, I thought you changed." Her voice was cold as she backed away into the trees.
He sniffed the air and turned to the undergrowth where the clan cats were hiding.
He snarled.
"RUN!" Screeched Ravenclaw and they pelted through the forest.
