"Hello? Hello?!" Mikoto yells into the phone. Three days passed since Sasuke left home. Usually, he calls to tell his parents he arrived safely, but they haven't received a call at all. "What do you mean he's not there?!"

On the other side of the phone call is Kushina, Naruto's mother. She hasn't heard or seen sight of Sasuke. Unfortunately, she tells this to Mikoto.

Fugaku stands patiently at his wife's side. He's just as worried as his wife, but he keeps a calm face.

"Kushina!" Mikoto wails. "My son is missing! I think he's gone! He just left two nights ago, and now he's gone!"

Tears streak down her face. The tears are not a new sight to Fugaku; however, this time, they have reasonable cause to be there. Her real son is missing, not some Android.

Mikoto thrusts the phone into Fugaku's hands, sobbing in her own. This on top of stowing away the Android she called "son" wrecks any emotional stability she has left.

"My sons!" She cries before turning to Fugaku. "You did this! You... If you just kept Itachi on, he could've talked some sense into him! He could've-!"

"It isn't real! It isn't our son! It's a damn robot Mikoto!" Fugaku yells back. Mikoto holds her head in her hands, trying to block out his words. "You saw what It tried to do to me. What It did to Izumi."

Mikoto sniffs, bitter upon hearing Itachi's ex-girlfriend's name. "You have no proof that Itachi did that."

"Stop calling him that! I mean It."

Fugaku breathes, noticing the call never ended, so Kushina is listening to every word they say. He hangs up without a goodbye, tossing the phone aside.

"Izumi ended up dead, and the last person to see her was that... That thing!"

Mikoto whips around. Insulting the Android around her is like insulting the real Itachi.

"Izumi was a whore! Always drugged out!" Mikoto yells, her face becoming red while a vein pops from her forehead. The tears don't stop, streaming down her face endlessly. To Fugaku, it seems she's been crying for three days straight.

"That does not justify her death," he seethes, balling his fists. "Blood is on our hands, my hands! I created that thing and was too blinded by my own creation to see It was a mistake."

Mikoto leans into him, bawling. It hurts. Everything hurts. Both of her sons are gone. A mother should never have to deal with this.

Fugaku puts a hand on her back, though it does nothing to comfort her. "Let's find our real son."

...

Sasuke welcomes unknown territory, and it welcomes him back. He just got on a bus and kept going until it reached the end of the line.

Somewhere along the ride, he chucked his phone out the window, watching it smash against the pavement. He didn't want anyone tracking him.

Like all the other passengers, Sasuke trots off the bus, bag in tow.

The stars twinkle high above him, and the wind chills his skin. Already, Sasuke knows this place is different. He's used to the sunny days and warm nights of Konoha, but this place seems cold.

Mom is probably going crazy right now.

Sasuke walks to the closest convenient store to grab some snacks. The sign above the place flashes "24 hours" in all red. He makes out one person sitting on the inside, lazily swatting at some flies.

In all the three days Sasuke's been gone, he hasn't eaten, so right about now, he's starving. He's not a junk food type of person, but food is food. Thankfully, Itachi gave Sasuke his bank account before he died, leaving all his college funds and extra money for Sasuke.

"He had such a bright future for me," Sasuke sighs, taking beef jerky off the shelf. "And I'm wasting all this money on junk food and bus rides."

He glances back at the cashier, who looks too tired and too withdrawn from the world to care about anything. Sasuke then looks at the price of all the food he's carrying.

Junk food sure is expensive.

With a fleeting, yet devious thought, Sasuke checks around the store, spotting no security cameras. Carefully, he unzips his bag, stuffing food in there to last him a week. The cashier's droopy eyelids close long enough for Sasuke to rush out.

Fifteen years old, Sasuke Uchiha.

Thief.

A/N: I think this is my first angst story. Short chapters, yay! I think writing on my phone is better for creativity, but my fingers cramp after a while, also editing is a bitch and a half. (。ŏ﹏ŏ) Anyways love you bye!
