"I'm going to fucking kill you!" I screamed, gripping Crowley's hand. Nearly four hours had gone by, and each minute had me wishing I had been nicer to my mother. But while I was pushing a living being from my body, Crowley remained next to me, pale as a ghost.
"One more push," Yara said calmly, completely unfazed. A hoarse scream tore from my throat as a gut wrenching contraction gripped me. The pain was so intense, black creeping at the edges of my vision. Crowley held my hand, eyes wide, with a horrified expression on his face.
As the contraction subsided, I collapsed against the pillows. I closed my eyes as Crowley brushed my hair from my face, murmuring comforting nonsense. Exhausted, I felt myself slowly sliding away.
"(Y/N), look," Crowley said softly, letting go of my hand. It dropped limply to my side. Cracking open my eyes, I saw Crowley holding a bundle. He had an odd look on his face as he looked down at it, as if he couldn't believe what he was holding.
I sat up against the pillows, peering at the bundle in his arms, "Is that...?"
"Our daughter," Crowley said gently, placing the baby in my arms. I held her close to me, staring down at the tiny bundle. She had (H/C) hair like mine, soft like the feathers of a duckling.
"Hello, little one," I crooned, smiling down at her. The pain, the blood...it was all worth it for her.
"Do you have a name?" Yara asked, standing off to the side to give us space with our new daughter. Crowley and I looked at each other. We had never really discussed names. Then I looked back down at the little girl in my arms and smiled softly.
"Lilith." I said lovingly, turning my gaze back up to my mate.
"It's perfect." Crowley agreed, kissing my forehead, then leaned over to peer at Lilith. She opened her eyes and looked at us. I heard Crowley suck in his breath.
She had yellow serpentine eyes just like him.
