She led me all the way outside, into a small corner by the fence. Some walkers were weakly pushing at the outer fence. Two of them must of seen us because they growled and moved towards us. Jordan looked at them for a while as if she were in a pet store picking out a new dog.
"You'll be fine." Jordan whispered , not sure who she was speaking to. She sat down of her knees and pulled something out of her shirt. They were a pair of pliers.
Fence pliers.
I saw her move them, placing them in between a wire. Right before she was about to snap it open, I stopped her.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!" I tried to whisper, but came out as more of a scream.
"Shh!" She demanded, pushing me a bit. Her hands closed together, and a small snap sound went off. She continued to snap more wires , and i wondered if she wanted a death wish.
She slowly spread the cut wires, making a small hole wide enough for a young person. She placed her foot out, steadily balancing herself . Soon enough her whole body was outside. "Hurry up!" She barked. I was still unsure of what she was gonna do, or where she would take me. A small growl came from my stomach, and before I knew it, I was on the other side.
"There's a door you know," I reminded her, "there was no need to cut the fence!""Too loud." she exclaimed.
I guess that was true. The two walkers soon grew to six.
"What do you plan on doing with these!" I whispered.
She put the pliers back in her shirt, nudging them between her dirty black jeans, half of it exposed and the other half neatly pushed in.
The walkers grew louder , at any second, Rick- or Carl could walk out and spot us. We would be in serious trouble. The idea frightened me.
"To hell with this." I muttered.
I pulled out my knife that was neatly stashed into the side of my jeans. I moved it along the outer fence, the walkers quietly growling and moving toward it likes kids wanting a toy.
Once they were close enough , I stuck the sharp blade into their mossy thick skull. Jordan just stood there in amusement.
"Was this your plan!" I asked. "When you talked about food, I thought you meant for us, not for these fuckers!" I pointed at the now collapsed walkers on the dead yellow grass.
"Let's just continue." She suggested.
"Fuck no!" I barked. "If your plan is to get us killed, then you can forget about me coming along. I've worked too hard, and many people have sacrificed their lives for me. So if you think that i'm going to go with you, and risk my life for something as simple as a piece of bread, then fuck you, and no thanks."
The door from the kitchen swung open, and before I could see who it was, I was running into the woods with Jordan.
"Tough luck, princess." she said, chuckling.
