I felt my body tense up. Was I really being held captive during an apocalypse? If only mother could see me now.
I started thinking of ways to escape. I remembered some advice I had learned from research on rape. This was certainly not the case, but the 'held captive' part was."What was it , what was it!?" I mumbled to myself.
Stand up and wiggle. Yes it had came to me. I picked up my legs as much as I could in order to get my hands out of the rope they were tied in. My side ached every time I moved, but I continued. Slowly I felt myself getting more loose. Soon enough, my hands were out. Jordan wasn't very good at tying. I unleashed my feet and stood up. I grabbed the rope for future use.
I touched my side, which sent a sharp pain throughout my body. I weakly gained control and started walking toward the door. I searched for the doorknob through the darkness. Finally finding it, I slowly turned. As soon as the door had a small enough creak, I looked outside. The world beyond it was similar. Dark, and full of the blood scented air. No Jordan though, that was a good sign. I opened the door more and continued walking, the rope still clutched in my hands.
The room was like a labyrinth, and I felt like a lab rat being tested.
A small growl came from my right. I knew that sound all too well.
A hard force hit my body, sending me to the floor. My side burned with pain, my front now joining it. Teeth clacked in front of me. I quickly took the rope and put it around the walkers neck, holding it back from me. I screamed in pain. I was getting weaker and weaker. My left hand searched for something on the floor, until it grasped a piece of glass. I stuck it into their face as strongly as I could. The walker no longer had any movement. I set the glass down and pushed the heavy thing off of me. My hand bled from grasping the sharp substance.
I tore off a piece of cloth from the walker and wrapped it around my hand. The pattern looked all too similar.
Patena.
