Luke felt lots of things toward Rosalie but love wasn't one of them. He used to like her as a person because she wasn't a bad one. He did used to somewhat like her but it never matured into love.

When Luke met Rosalie, he wasn't exactly interested in her. He met her through the friend he had made the first day he transferred to their school. She was really pretty but it wasn't enough for him. She didn't talk much which was also a huge turn off for him but that was minor.

He was fully aware of the crush she had on him, she was obvious. He had also heard her among her friends, shyly confessing that she liked him. He remembers how his body recoiled at the thought of them together, he simply didn't like her like that.

One day, she had to come over for a project they were assigned together. Luke felt extremely uncomfortable hanging out with her knowing her feelings toward him. She didn't do anything, she didn't flirt or touch him for Luke to feel this way but he didn't want to be alone with her. His parents, on the other hand, rejoiced in the fact that her son met a girl that had the same social class. At the time, Luke let his parents control every aspect of his life and him dating Rosalie was one of them. His parents obligated him, warning him that if he didn't they would take away some of the privileges he had been given. Luke obliged and asked her out not long after the project ended.

As time went by, he genuinely began to like Rosalie for who she was. He spent most of his time with her that it was hard not to. The more he began to know her, the more she talked and joked around. It stayed like that until they reached the end of their senior year where their parents were already planning a proposal.

Luke had begun to build his trust in Rosalie, the girl practically becoming his best friend. He told her that he didn't want to work for his parent's company, his dream wasn't to become an architect but to become a lawyer. He didn't have the courage to tell his parents because of the fear he had of them. Rosalie helped him through this, encouraging him to face his parents and stand up for what he wants. The girl even went as far as being there with him for moral support.

They didn't put up a fight but only because Rosalie was there. Luke was extremely happy, his first reaction was to hug Rosalie and quietly thank her. She left him alone with his parents so they could further talk it out and that's when things changed. Their whole mood shifted telling Luke that he was in trouble.

So they made a deal.

Luke could become a lawyer but his condition was to marry Rosalie. He immediately rejected the proposal and tried reasoning with them by emphasizing that the two were still too young. His parents didn't retract, pressuring him to choose in that moment.

Obviously, Luke went through with the deal and proposed to Rosalie in order to follow what he truly wanted. He was happy on one hand but unhappy on the other. He didn't want Rosalie as his wife nor did he want her as anything in his life anymore. He partly blamed her for his unhappiness but he mostly blamed his parents.

At times he did feel guilty because Rosalie knew nothing of this deal and was always comprehensive with him. She would make him dinner, iron his shirts and washed his clothes even when the maid was able to do all of that. She treated him like a king, giving him his spot and supporting him in everything. Yet that grudge he felt toward her never went away. His kisses were all fake, his apologies were fake, his smile and love were fake.

The bouquets he would send were an idea a friend gave him so that Rosalie would stop bugging him about coming home early. Of course, his friend told him in the sense so that Luke could rectify his wrongdoings but Luke put it to a different use. His friend, also known as Zabdiel, told him he had a friend who worked at a flower shop and did very nice bouquet arrangements. He didn't forget to mention how the florist gave the option to write a note. Luke was sold with this.

A year into working with his close friend at the firm he met a girl named Helen. Her skin, white as snow and eyes blue as the ocean were what captivated him. She was one of her colleague's secretary but the two would often bump into each other. She was very flirty toward the boy, showing as much skin as possible in order to lure him in and it worked. It was all lust at the start but it soon turned into more.

Luke felt like he loved her. It was a feeling he had never felt with Rosalie so he concluded that it must be a developing love. He enjoyed being with her, being with her and the thrill of hiding it.

But he didn't care if Rosalie ever found out.
