Rosalie was quite thankful that she accepted going out with Erick earlier on. She didn't want to cry any longer for someone who wasn't worth it and knowing how she was, she would've spent all weekend lamenting everything. Though some would tell her she needed time to herself, Rosalie knew she needed the opposite of that. She needed a distraction, she needed someone to motivate her and though she had her close friends, Rosalie would feel guilty since they were busy. Linda and Adira had been investing so much time on her so making them come over during their free time would make her feel guilty.

"So should I go hit him or something? Because I'll do it."

Erick and Rosalie sat quietly inside his car while still parked in front of her house. Rosalie didn't mean to be so expressionless but the memories and all the crying she had done beforehand had tired everything out.

"Do that," Rosalie responded somewhat revengeful. "I wish I had the guts to do it."

Erick quietly studied her, his eyes staying glued onto her face. He was amused at himself because how could he already feel so much for her in such short amount of time? He already knew that he didn't like to see her like that and he was going to try to brighten her day up.

"I would do anything right now just to remove you from this situation, Rosita. I'm sorry I can't."

Rosalie's heart felt an engulfing warmness spread inside her heart at his words. She softly smiled, quickly glancing at him before patting her thighs. "You're such a sweetheart."

"Ew," he grimaced. "No me digas asi you sound like my mom."

Rosalie gasped, poking his shoulder with a playful scoff. "Stop calling me old!"

Erick laughed, flinching away from her with a bright smile. "I say things as they are."

"Where are you going to take me?" Rosalie finally asked as she adjusted her seatbelt.

"Rollerskating," he said as he shifted the gear to reverse. "Get ready to come back sore."

Jesus.

The rink was semi-full since it was a weekend and that was the prime of most places. Many were in pairs, skating all around the small area with smiles on their faces. 80's disco music was blasting and a classic disco ball hung in the middle of the ceiling with all types of color shining on the rink.

Rosalie and Erick were next to the entrance of the rink, waiting as some people were exiting. Rosalie was excited but terrified. She always wanted to dance in roller-skates to disco music but only when she already knew how to skate. It was more like a dream than reality because she had no real intention in learning but it simply sounded relaxing and stress-relieving.

"Erick," Rosalie's voice trembled at the feeling of losing balance so quickly. "You better hold my hand or I'm going to drag you with me."

"But if I hold your hand I will be dragged down with you too."

"You're just begging to fight me."

Without much notice, Erick quickly grabbed her by the waist and smirked. "Believe me, Rosita. I'd do anything to have your hands on me."

Rosalie gaped at the boy and before she could smartly reply, Erick released her and took her hand. "C'mon!"

Erick pulled her toward the circle where most people who didn't know how to skate were and reached for her other hand. Rosalie's knees began to shake and as a result, her legs were finding it hard to slide correctly.

"You have to stand like this," Erick said with a laugh as he looked at Rosalie struggling and clinging onto him.

The terrified girl tried to copy Erick's position but her legs played a trick on her and she fell right on her butt. Erick clutched his stomach, laughing at her before extending his hand out and pulling her right back up.

"Malo," Rosalie whined but laughed a little as well as she rubbed her bottom. "That hurt."

The green-eyed boy smiled, taking her arm and wrapping it around his waist. "Hold on tight. We're going in."

A soft squeal left Rosalie's lips as the two made their way to the actual skating. Everyone was going at a quick speed and it made her feel self-conscious. She felt bad because they were going as slow as a sloth and she knew how annoying it was being behind slow people.

"I think you're getting the hang of it!" Erick beamed and it made Rosalie's heart flutter for the millionth time.

There was something about the slow disco music and something about the way the colorful lights shone on him. Something in the way he looked at her and something in the way he held her.

"Yeah," Rosalie said in a daze. "I am."

Rosalie had always been a quick learner so by the third song she was able to skate without falling. She was still wobbly and clumsy but at least she wasn't giving herself a bruise. She could tell that Erick was surprised at how quickly she actually got the hang of it. Though she didn't really need it anymore, Rosalie didn't want to let go of Erick's hand and it felt as though he didn't want to either.

"We should totally buy skates and a disco ball after this."

Erick grinned at her. "Definitivamente. We could boogie all night."

"Ew," Rosalie cringed at the word but laughed at the same time. "Boogie is such a weird word. I prefer groove."

"Okay then," Erick snickered. "We can groove all night."

Just as Rosalie was about to respond, a teenaged boy sprinted past her, brushing her shoulder roughly and pushing her into warm arms. Rosalie's first reflex was to grip onto him, holding tight on his jacket. Erick's hands were lightly on her waist, shocked at the sudden closeness. Rosalie slowly moved her head back but her fists were still gripping on his clothing. Her eyes didn't want to look away from his and it seemed as though he didn't want to either.

"I...-" Rosalie shakily started her sentence but was interrupted by an unfamiliar voice.

"I'm so sorry! Are you guys okay?"

Rosalie wasted no time in pulling herself back and nervously patting down her clothing. "It's okay–we're fine."

The boy, who looked like he was still in high school, apologetically smiled before skating away with his group of friends who were waiting for him.

"We better start moving or they're going to kick us out," Erick semi-laughed but it was quiet obvious that it was to clear the tension.

Rosalie felt a surge of confidence and didn't think much of it. She took his hand with a smile and laughed: "Let's go!"

Though he looked shocked, a smile quickly replaced it and  that's when Rosalie knew she was falling for the right guy.
