We had finished eating and were on our way out of the mall when James asked where we'd be heading to next. For a moment I couldn't think of anywhere specific because I hadn't really been out of my house lately, but then I remembered this pond that I'd usually go to whenever I needed somewhere quiet to write my poems. "We could go to this beautiful pond that I usually go to whenever I needed somewhere quiet,it's really peaceful there." James agreed immediately. "Awesome I can direct you there, it's in the same area as the park we passed earlier, but, it's hidden from the public by some rose bushes." "Sounds enchanted haha, so how did you find it?" James asked excitedly "I'm an explorer,I can't quite remember how I found it though, just stumbled upon one day, while walking around the park, and I didn't tell anybody about it because I wanted it to be my little secret, but now I'm sharing it with you Mcvey." I said while playfully hitting him on the arm. "Great let's go find your little secret then." He said with a smile.
We pulled up to the park, not many people were there and I was happy, because it felt more light and peaceful that way. I led James through the rose bushes and to the tiny pond which was in the center, surrounded by medium size trees and, some more rose bushes. There was also a little bench with the arms shaped out like little hearts, the bushes had pink and white roses on them, which enhanced the romantic scenery already at hand, I hadn't noticed how romantic this place really was before, which now made me feel awkward for bringing James here. His eyes were filled with admiration for the scenery, he seemed to have immediately fell in love with the place and I was happy he liked it. In my eyes guys don't usually appreciate the beautiful things nature had to offer, but this one seemed to have really noticed it all. "Hailey this place is beautiful, it inspires me to write music here, the.tranquility is mind blowing! Thank you so much for sharing your little secret." He said before hugging me. I hugged back in excitement because I was happy and amazed that he liked this place as much as I did. "I'm really happy you like it, I was afraid you wouldn't like it as much as I do because you know, you're a guy." I said walking over to the bench and sitting down.
"Ouch! a guy, haha we aren't all the same Hailey, I actually do love admiring nature and the beautiful creations it has to offer, whenever I want to get away from all the chaos of the world, I turn to mother nature." He explained while walking over to sit beside me. "Wow James I'm sorry for assuming you were like the others, I have a bad habit of doing that. "Ahh it's no biggie, it's human nature to always assume. I can't get over how beautiful this place is though, definitely coming here whenever I feel like writing some new music." James said while browsing the place again. "I usually come here to write poems, good for inspirations. What do you usually write about in your songs, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Just anything I'm feeling at the moment, happiness, love, heartache, which seems to be a lot for me, especially after my last relationship that's all I've been able to write about." James said looking a little sad now, and I kinda feel bad for asking. "Oh I'm sorry about that I shouldn't have asked." I said putting my hand on his shoulder, he chuckled "It's ok Hailey, I'm fine now, happy even, now what do you usually write about?" Of course he'd ask that, well it's only fair since I asked him first. "I use to write about nature and love a lot, but for the past few years I haven't been writing, sadly I think I've lost my passion for it." I said while fumbling with the end of my dress.
"You know what, I don't think you have. I just think you've lost what would usually inspire you, you just need to get inspired again. So c'mon what was your inspiration apart from this enchanted area? because surely you haven't lost this."
"My heart starting racing as I remembered what or should I say who was once my inspiration. I took a deep breath before replying because I didn't want James to get suspicious. "H- I mean it died as an inspiration a few years ago, something happened, and it just wasn't the same..." James looked at me with pity in his eyes. "Mcvey don't give me that look, it's all good now." I said forcing a smile, trying to be brave, I wasn't about to break down in front of him. "Are you sure pretty lady?" James asked while pulling a pink rose from behind him and sticking it in my bun. I didn't even see when he picked that. My cheeks turned red within a spilt second, did he actually think I was pretty? I starting blushing at the thought.
