Tell 'em that it's my birthday! Tell 'em that it's my birthday!! there I was subconsciously singing along to the song in my head for about three minutes before I realized it was actually my alarm. Up until then I had not realized how cheesy that actually is, oh well. So today is my birthday, finally the big 19, but I don't feel any different, I looked in the mirror and I didn't look any different, but really what was I expecting enormous boobs overnight or something, I laughed at myself.

I don't really know why but I felt a bit excited about my birthday this year, like I could sense something special was in store or maybe it's all in my head. I quickly pushed back the thought and went to the bathroom to freshen up. While I was brushing my teeth I heard a knock on my room door.

"Hailey are you awake ?" My mom gently asked. "Yeah mom, I'm just in the bathroom." I quickly rinsed my mouth out and washed my face.

Then I went to open the door, before I could say good morning my mom had already begun singing happy birthday to me while she held a small chocolate cake in her hands.

"Happy Birthday to Hailey my baby! Happy Birthday to Hailey my baby!"

My mom belted out, then we both began to laugh. "Thanks so much mom and the cake looks amazing" I said while hugging her.

"You're welcome honey, I just can't believe you're 19, seems like just yesterday you were being potty trained." My mom said with tears welling up in her eyes. "Ah no mom, not the water works" "I can't help it Hailey I just love you so much, and you're getting so big." "I know mom, I know." I said wiping the streak of tear that had rolled down her left cheek. "Oh I made you breakfast Hailey." " I know mom I see it." I replied while stretching for the cake in her hands." Mom pulled it out of my reach. " Seriously Hailey, you really think I'd give you cake for breakfast, what kind of mother would I be." "A cool mom." I joked.

"Too bad I'm not the cool mom, you're breakfast is on the tablet, I'll put this in the fridge until later."

"Okay thanks mom." I was about to go take a shower when my phone started ringing. It was Cas, and once again before I could say a thing, she begun to sing. "Happy Birthday to ya! Happy Birrrrthday! Happy birthday to ya Happy Birrrrrrrthdaaaaaaaaaaaay!! Happy Birthday Hailey Bailey, I'm getting pretty good huh." I laughed for a about 5 minutes before replying. "Ah yeah sure Cas you've never been better." I managed to get that out before laughing again. "Ha ha make fun of me now Ms. Evans but just wait until I'm the next Ariana Grande you'll be eating your words."

"Haha alright Cas I'm sorry, but thank you for wishing me a happy birthday after all it wouldn't be a happy one if I didn't have you in my life." "Good save my friend, good save." We both giggled at her reponse. "Alright Hailey I'll be over about 3pm, later until then, don't try to miss me too much." "Oh I don't know how I'm going to make it until then!" I said in an overly dramatic voice, then hung up. Now time to shower and have breakfast.

Now that I'm finished with breakfast maybe mom will let me have a slice of the cake. I was about to go ask when I heard the doorbell ring. I looked up at the clock thinking there's no way Dad could have gotten here so early, I mean it's just after 12, oh well. I opened the door and to my surprise it was James.

"A Massive Happy Birthday to you Hailey Evans!" James said while holding a birthday cake in his hand which had a picture of me on it. "Oh my God! thanks James and yay! more cake!!"

"What you mean to tell me someone already got you cake! I thought I was gonna be the first!" I laughed "no actually my mom is always the first but yours is very much appreciated too James." I said leaning in to give him a hug. "Well as long as you like it I'm happy, I wish I could stay witj you though Hailey but I've got a thing..." he said looking away. "Oh a thing you say, well I suppose it's only fair since you brought me such a beautiful cake." I said smiling at James. "Splendid, I will be back for the dinner, so bye until then Hailey, try not to have too much fun without me." James said before hugging me again. "Oh you know I wouldn't."
