*Two Weeks Later*
The Disney trip was amazing, we enjoyed every moment of it, and Cas captured every moment of it. Now I'll be spending this weekend at my Dad's because I thought it was time I actually saw his house and get to know his girlfriend Nicole, Parker told me she's nice, but of course I'll be the judge of that.
My Dad told me he's on his way, so I decided to go eat something in the mean time. I was making a sandwich when I heard the doorbell, so I made my way over to open the door. Cas and James were standing on the other side. "What are you two doing there?" "Hey that's not how you should greet your two favorite people." Cas said pushing me. "I just didn't expect you two right now, no one texted me." "Yeah I wanted to Cas told me not to." James said running his fingers through his messy hair. "Anyways my Dad should be here any minute, so you guys don't have much time." I said, making my way back over to my delicious sandwich, which I was about to devour. "We know, that's why we came here to beg you to stay" James said staring at me with his hypnotic blue eyes. I laughed. "Are you two serious, I'll only be gone for like the weekend, I'll be back on Monday, you guys are acting as if I'm moving away." I said before taking a bit out of the sandwich. "You're right I guess." Cas shrugged.
"You guys want sandwiches?" I asked, but then I heard the doorbell, "That must be my dad, come on in Dad" I shouted. Two minutes later my Dad appeared in the kitchen.
"Hey kids, did I interrupt something?" My Dad asked. "No Mr.Evans, Hailey was just about to make us sandwiches, but we'll grab something at the shop." James answered. "Shop?" My Dad asked puzzled. "Ahh he means at the Mall Dad." I said laughing. "Oh, british, right, so Hailey are you ready to go, it's about five hours of driving, you know." Oh my God, what am I going to talk about with my Dad for five hours! "Yeah Dad, I gueds we should get going.
I got my bag of clothes and told Cas and James bye. After everyone got out the house I closed it and texted my mom that we left. The first few minutes of the car ride was a bit awkward, because whenever I was alone with my Dad I just didn't know what to say. So I took my phone out and decided to look at some of the pictures we took. "So how was the trip sweetheart?" It took me a minute to realize my Dad was talking to me. "Oh, the trip, it was fantastic Dad, I totally forgot Cas, James and Riley had told me to tell you thanks for everything from like two Weeks ago, that's why they didn't say anything today, they probably thought I told you, but thanks again Dad, best trip ever. I said all that in one mouth full.
"Wow" my Dad said, chuckling. "You're all welcome honey, I just want my little girl happy." "Don't you mean woman." I said laughing. "Nope, no matter how old you get, you'll always be my little munchkin."
That made me smile, as corny as it was. "So about you and James..." Even the mention of his name caused butterflies to erupt in my stomach. "Yeah what about us?" I asked awkwardly. "Is he your boyfriend." Things just got a lot more awkward, because never did I think I'd ever have this conversation with my father, especially because how he was when I was younger, he never wanted me anywhere near boys, while with the exception of Parker. "I know when you were younger I didn't want you to even think about a boyfriend, but something about James, he's okay in my book." "Ha well we're just friends Dad." I quickly said. "Nice, you guys are taking it slow, even better." "Dadddd can we not talk about this right now, way too awkward." My Dad let out a light chuckle, alright honey, well let's stop for something to eat.

After we stopped and got food Red Robins, we just talked and laughed the rest of the ride. I really loved it, because we were really bonding. We finally pulled up to his house and it was now after eight. I pulled my phone out and texted mom, Cas and James to let them know we got here safely. "Now Hailey I know you didn't like the idea of me dating again, but Nicole is a really nice woman, so please give her a chance okay." The old me would have probably shave her head while she slept and put hot sauce in her juice, but I'm better than that now, I'll give her a chance. "Sure Dad, I'll give her a chance." I said smiling, but my Dad looked a bit worried. I laughed to myself because I can't believe he still thinks I won't keep my word. We made our way inside, where we were greeted by Parker and a blonde woman, with a really big smile. She looked around the same age as my mom, but she seemed to be more into fashion that mom was. She had on a plain black close fitting dress and black stilettos, her hair was straight and ran down her back, probably extensions I thought. She pretty, I guess.
