I woke up to being shaken awake. I groaned tiredly and pushed the hands away, feeling goop...

Nightmare.

"Go away goopy..." I murmured and hid under the blankets, hearing a chuckle.

I was then attacked by tickles.

I screeched and burst out in laughter, throwing my limbs out in random directions to make Nightmare stop. When he did stop, I uncovered my head and glared at the smirking skeleton. "What did Killer drug you with last night?" He asked me.

What...

I groaned again and sat up, rubbing my eyes. "Shut up goopy. I'm not even awake-" I yawned loudly, "-Yet..." He just rolled his eye and walked out, putting something on my bed before he left.

I realized it was clothes. and they were black.

Not surprised, knowing Nightmare.

I got dressed in the clothes and walked out, stretching. "Geez... it's like Nightmare doesn't have any patience or anything!" I murmured to myself and looked around.

Where to I go?

I frowned and looked around again, choosing left. I think that's where Killer-oh!

I saw Horror come from a room.

"Hey! Where do I go? I-" I cut myself off, seeing how angry he looked. "You okay?" He completely ignored me.

"Horror?" He bumped into me while walking. I followed him.

He walked into a room and stopped. His body was limp, but still standing.

That's when I saw it.

Blood was covering his body as he fell to the floor...

"HORROR!" I yelled and rushed up to him, trying to save him...

But no...

His body started slowly turning to dust, only leaving behind a note. I picked it up, shaking in fear and sadness.

Who would do this? Why...

Wake up, Qwen.

I frowned, and reread it.

W-

I gasped, my eyes quickly opening to see a ceiling.

My ceiling.

My old ceiling...

Before my parents died.

This was my room.

I looked around.

Everything was the same.

"Honey- Oh! You're awake!" My head snapped to my Mom, who was holding a book and smiling.

Mom...

"M-mom?!" She smiled and nodded. "did you have a nightmare?" I reached out to touch her, to hug her one more time.

She was alive!

but I froze when everything faded...

to black.

My eyes had a familiar feeling of being closed, and I opened them.

This was my room...

No Mom standing at the door... No Nightmare telling me to get up...

Tears were brought to my eyes at the memory of Mom...

Mom...

I pulled my sheet-covered-legs to my chest and wrapped my arms around my legs, crying.

I miss Mom.

I miss Dad.

I miss when everything was simple.

I miss my old life...

Dealing with bullies and curing them would be my job. I would go around to conventions and do a panel to talk about bullying! I would earn thousands of dollars, I would have a husband and a child, I would have Jen and Charlie as friends and partners...

The perfect life...

But the skeletons arrived, bringing a load of weirdness upon me.

Not to mention I'm a freak.

I'm an 'angel', I have a yellow eye, I live with skeletons, I'm friends with skeletons, my parents died...

"Mommy! Look! I found a ladybug!" I yelled at my mommy, who was looking at a tree with a smile. She turned to me happily and gasped. "Oh, dearie! It's beautiful!" I smiled at her and watched as Daddy put a hand around her shoulder, them giving off a happy vibe.

-~-

I sobbed, remembering how she used to smile. Dad would help bake cookies with her in the winter, because 'cookies in the summer were bad'. I still remember her sweet voice...

If only I was there with them...

None of this would be happening...

Suddenly, I felt two pairs of arms wrap around me. I didn't know who, but all I could say was it wasn't Nightmare because he was goopy.

"Shh... It's okay, Qwen..." One said to my left, and I recognized it as Cross. "It's okay." The other one said softly, and I recognized it as Dust.

"G-guys..." I whispered, and the one on the right hugged me tighter. "It's okay." The one on the left let go, and I felt something on my shoulders. My blanket.

The arms returned.

We stayed like that for a while.

When they let go, I looked up and wiped my eyes. "I'm sorry you had to see that," I said quietly.

Dust just smiled and put a hand on my shoulder. "I would have been worse. I would have howled in sobs to make anyone hear me." I smiled at that.

"Come on. Let's get some breakfast." Cross said and got up, followed by Dust and me. "Don't tell anyone," I stated, and Dust smirked.

"Kinda hard not to because of the red marks around your eyes."

I glared at him.
