"NO! GET HIM AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed, whole-heartily scared and angered for her life. she kicked and pushed, but the goddamn restraints wouldn't give. The skeleton raised an eyebrow, as if in question.
"This is her?" He asked, walked beside Tears and getting a growl from the girl. "I will kill you." She spat, pulling on the restraints once again.
She didn't like any of these people, and if she were to escape, C2 would kill them.
The goopy skeleton sighed and pulled Tears up. "Cross, you watch her." His tentacles were slowly moving, seemingly passive.
X said that this skeleton would never relax his tentacles though?
The confusion was the least of her worries.
If this cross was assigned to watch me, this must- wait what the fuck is that? She thought as a skeleton stepped into the room, and he was wearing at least 50 layers of clothes. "Qw-uh- C2, right?" He asked, sitting where Tears sat not seconds ago.
She already liked him better than the others.
"Yes." She responded, with a little less venom in her words. "Okay then. I'm Cross, as you already heard. I don't really want to watch you, so I'm not going to torture you for answers. Got it?" He shrugged, leaning back on the chair and pulling out his phone.
"Whatcha playin'?" She asked, already knowing that this dude was no problem or a dangerous creature. "Wha- oh. Nothing. I just stare at an empty screen." He held up the black screen, making the other frown.
"Wha..." She trailed off, not expecting this. Surprisingly, Cross just laughed and turned his phone on. "I'm jokin' with ya. It's like you've never had any fun things to do-" C2 raised an eyebrow.
"Wait- really?!" He exclaimed, sitting forward and looking at the other in shock.
"My job is to kill for X." She stated bluntly, shrugging. Cross jumped up and ran to what looked like a closet. "What are you doing?" She asked, on guard again.
He could be ready to torture her, even though he said he wouldn't. You can't trust anyone these days.
When he came back into view, he was holding what looked like a game. "What?" She just asked, confused by this.
"You've never played a game before. And because you're all tied up, this is the only thing I could find." He just said, pulling up a table and setting up what looked like a big checkerboard.
"This is Connect Four! You can connect four of these-" He held up red and blue circles, "-and if you get four of the same color, you win!" He was surprisingly happy, setting it up happily.
"Listen, I know you don't trust me." He said when he was finished. "oh? How so? I'm only tied up." She replied sarcastically, rolling her one good eye.(The other one is robotic BTW!) "I'm serious! I could tell Nightmare scared you. And I'm pretty sure Error hates you..." He trailed off at the last part. "Error? Is it the one with tears?"
Cross nodded.
"Nightmare isn't so bad- actually yes he is. Nevermind. Good idea being scared of him-" She shut him up with a growl. "I am not scared of anything. X said that he was trouble." Cross seemed to stiffen at the mention of him.
"X? I-I- Let's just g-get back to the g-game..." He muttered, placing the red one in a column and asking where C2 wanted the blue ones.
---
"HA! I BEAT YOU!" She exclaimed, once again winning again against the skeleton. "SHIT! HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" He exclaimed, smiling. She rolled her eyes and smiled too.
but she replaced it with a frown.
She was warming up to the skeleton, and that may not be good.
"I- what is that?" She asked, leaning forward and staring at the brown rectangle that was bitten off of. "Wha- YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT CHOCOLATE IS?!" He screamed, and his eyes were insanely surprised.
"No, I don't." She said, blinking. he muttered nonsense and took a piece off of the bar. "Open up." He said, making both of them cringe at the way that sounded.
"I'm not a baby-" He shook his head and stated, "I know you're not. But you don't have hands at the moment, so open up."
Reluctantly, she opened her mouth.
AND HOLY FUCK THE MOST AMAZING THING CAME INTO HER MOUTH!
She staring at Cross, making him chuckle. "I can see you like it." She nodded vigorously and said, "The only thing we have to eat are bags of chips and left-over pizza from last year." Cross flinched. "Holy- you don't actually have food?!" He exclaimed.
She shook her head.
"Hold up-" He pulled out his phone, stood up, tapped it a few times, and started screaming, "BRING ME FOOD FOR THE GIRL! SHE HASN'T EATEN REAL FOOD IN I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG!" He listened, and said, "Yeah. No. Maybe. HELL NO!" He touched his phone and sighed. "Error will bring you some food, okay?" He sat down again and groaned.
"Up for another round?" She asked him, making him look at her like, 'Bitch, please'.
That got her to smile.
Something about these skeletons was so... amazing.
It was like she knew them for so long, and she already imagined, although she didn't like it, a life with them.
Where they could all be happy...
