I woke up in bed...
My whole body is sore...
Ugh... what happened yesterday? Or was it 2 days? I'm too tired to deal with this shit.
Mom inserted the needle in me, and I felt a fiery pain shoot through my body. "MOM! WHA-AAHHHHH!" I screamed at the intense pain shooting up and down my spine, in my arms, legs, even my head!
After 10 minutes, the pain went away, and Mom helped me up. "I'm sorry about that. That one was for controlling your powers so you don't have what you did today. We need to get you a necklace."
I was confused. Necklace? What?
We entered the elevator again, and it took us down more into the earth...
We entered another room with at least 100 necklaces and a platform. "Mom? Why do I need a necklace?" I asked and she pointed to the platform. "It's to signal you if someone needs curing. Now stay still and let the room work its magic."
I'm still not used to this... 'You're an angel descendant' thing yet... Who would be?
I watched the necklaces all glow a different pattern, and they glow brighter and brighter until it was blinding...
The glowing subsided and a necklace glowed with passion. "This one is yours!" She handed me a simple charm. It wasn't like some with at least 17 of them. This one was a ladybug that seemed to change colors every time I looked at it. Mom helped me put it on.
"What's next?" I asked her and she smiled. "Nothing right now. The injection is still processing... you need to rest because you'll pass out soon."
I don't remember anything after that.
Looking outside my window, I realized it was still dark. I touched the necklace I was still wearing and got out of bed.
I looked at my clock.
6:34. I might as well get ready.

I walked into the kitchen and waved to mom who was cooking breakfast. "Now Qwen. How many people know about your eye?"
Oh, I forgot about that.
"uh... Cross, Charlie, Jen, and Nightmare." She stopped at the word Nightmare. "Good lord. Please tell me you're not friends with him, right?" I frowned.
Why does she care?
"I mean, I sit with him and his friends at lunch, but we barely talk. Why?" I stuffed my mouth with food.
I AM HUNGRY!
"He's the embodiment of dark things. Unless you plan to heal him, I would advise you to stay away from him." I groaned. "Now, if you feel the ladybug buzz against your chest, then you need to look around you. The person that needs a cure will give off a soft glow. Please cover your eye."
She kept telling me stuff, but I toned it out. I never knew life would be this stressful! Great.
"I'll drive you to school today. You woke up pretty early." I smiled at her and finished my FOOD.
In the car ride, I thought about stuff.
I am a descendent of an angel. But won't that mean I'm an angel too? And if my purpose in life is to cure the evil... Does that mean that I can't be friends with the skeletons? I'm pretty good friends with them, though.
As I was getting out of the car because I was in the school parking lot, Mom handed me a pack of chocolate. "For your friends." She winked at me and sped off.
I smiled and put the chocolate in my bag, and I entered Undercorn county Middle School.
---
I finally got to my locker and I felt my necklace buzz against my shirt.
I looked around.
Jeff was slightly glowing.
