Officer Bellow was still troubled by his fight with Mendez. He decided to wake up early to go for a jog. As he gets up from his bed he see's his laptop open showing his unfinished resignation letter to Mils. Bellow walks over to his laptop and deletes the file.
"Not going to get rid of me so easy, Mendez" Bellow softly says. He shuts his laptop off and puts on his workout gear.
-------at the park--------
Bellow's panting echos through the park, for he is the only one there. He ran two miles before finding a bench to sit on. He slumps into the bench and manages to drink all of his water. He sits there for a while, admiring the silence. It moves him to question recent events and to question his faith. Why was Mendez so angry? Where is Melinda? All of these things circled in Bellow's mind and once again he was in a daze.
"God.....or whomever maybe listening, I have lost faith. I moved here to find purpose, But I find myself surrounded by mystery and violence. Help me" Bellow announces.
In an instance he hears the sound of rustling leaves. He looks over and see's a bush and its moving as if it were dancing to a ballad. Bellow's heart warms up and goosebumps scatter his body. He looks up to the sky and back at the bush.
"I hear you" Bellow whispers. He inhales deeply and exhales as the sun begins to rise more and more.
Bellow stands up and begins walking towards his car. His phone rings. He raises it to his ear to answer it.
"Officer Bellows speaking" He says.
"Yea, it's Mills, I need you to report to work quickly. We found something." Mils says over the phone and hangs up before Bellow has a chance to respond.
----------2 hrs later--------
Bellow rushes into the precinct. Mils spots Bellow and walks towards him.
"Bellow, I need you and Mendez to get in a squad car and drive over to the graveyard on peach and trio street" Mils says.
Mendez walks into the building shortly after. Bellow and Mendez lock eyes.
"Peach and Trio. Mils says they got a report" Bellow says.
"Let's go partner" Mendez responds.
This shocks Bellow and Mils. Why is Mendez so calm? Has he had an awakening?
