"So what are we going to do?" Mitchell asked.
Pastor Adams exhales aggressively. He then takes out his phone and out the phone to his ear. Mitchell hears that the phone is ringing.
"Hey honey, can you come to the chambers when you are done?....We uh...have to....yeah.." Pastor Adams says on the phone.
He hangs up and looks back at Mitchell. Mitchell is still crying but try to gather himself. A few minutes later there is a knock on the door. Mitchell stands up and faces the door. He looks back at Pastor Adams.
"Open it.." Pastor Adams says.
Mitchell opens the door. Mitchell's eyes light up and he lets out a sigh of relief.
"Mom..."Mitchell mutters.
He begins to cry again. His mother shuts the door and hugs him.
"Mitch...What happened?" His mother asks.
"Melinda threatened to go to the cops and Mitchell had to kill her" Pastor Adams says.
Mitchell's mother hugs him. Mitchell continues to cry.
"Mitch...look at me.." She says cupping her hands on his face.
Mitchell looks at his mother.
"You did the right thing. Now you need to get rid of the body." She says.
"Diana, he is shaken up right now. You and I can handle it." Pastor Adams says as he walks to Melinda's body.
"No, we will do this as a family..Let's go Mitchell" Diana commands as she touches Mitchell's arm.
Mitchell wipes his tears and walks towards the body. He grabs Melinda's arms and drags her out of the corner. Diana walks over and watches Mitchell drag the body to the middle of the room.
"Go and greet the people in the lobby with Mariam. Mitchell and I have this" Diana says.
Pastor Adams exits the room. Mitchell and his mother manage to stuff Melinda's body into a body full of communion wafers and tape the box.
"What now?" Mitchell asks.
"We take the box out and put it in the trunk of the car" Diana responds.
"Mom, there are people are still people in the lobby. We will get caught." Mitchell explains.
Diana puts her face closer to Mitchell's.
"Mitchell. We are a family. You need to get yourself together. You got into this. Now, you have to get yourself out of it" Diana says sternly.
Mitchell shakes his head. Diana gets up and opens the door. She looks out and sees her daughter, Mariam and Pastor Adams talking to the remaining people in the lobby. Mitchell picks up the box and walks out of the door. They walk down the hall.
"Be calm" Diana whispers.
Suddenly, a member walks up to them.
"Hey Mitchell. That looks like a heavy box. Let me take it" The member offers.
"N-no Ernie" Mitchell replies.
"Aww Mitchell let Ernie help, darling." Diana chuckles.
Mitchell looks over at his mother and she raises an eyebrow at him. He lets out a sigh and gives the box to Ernie. Ernie takes the box and continues walking.
"This is heavy. What's in here?" Ernie asks.
"Thank you cards for the members. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary next month" Diana says
Mitchell nods in agreement
They both exit the building and Ernie puts the box in the trunk of Pastor Adams car. Michell shuts the trunk. Mariam comes out and Diana excuses herself to talk to her. Diana whispers something in Mariam's ear and her eyes lock on Mitchell. Mitchell stares back at Mariam and doesn't even notice that Ernie is striking up conversation. Diana and Mariam both walk back to Mitchell. Mariam pats Mitchell on the back and she walks to the drivers seat of the car. The car turns on and it pulls away.
