Stacey and I reached the bottom of the stairs in seconds, put on our heels, and stepped out as I locked the door.
My eyes widened as I looked at the long white SUV parked in front of my house. Someone stepped from around the front of the car and opened the door, "Ladies." He bent and gestured toward the inside of the car.
"Thank you." I said for both Stacey and I because she hopped in and immediately began talking with Alex.
The man nodded and closed the door before returning to the drivers seat. I took in the large interior and noticed a table. A table. In a car.
On the other side of that were the boys, Alex chatting it up with Stacey and Kason sitting by the door on his phone.
I thought he wanted to get to know me better?
I sighed and listened into what Stace and Alex were on about. "This crazy bitch threw a curling iron at me when I told her it was you guys outside!"
I blushed and laughed nervously as Alex broke out in hysterics.
"A fucking curling iron?? You hear that Kason." He nudged him, but Kason only nodded not removing his eyes from his phone.
Oof.
"Hey, come on man." Alex whispered at him and he looked up and rolled his eyes as he shifted closer to the table.
I began feeling anxious, so I tucked my hands between my legs and watched the street lights as we drove.
Hearing a loud pop, I turned my gaze back to the three others in the car. Stacey laughed loudly while Alex tried to move the champagne away from himself as it fizzed.
He poured three glasses and held one out to me, I gladly took it and drank it down quickly hoping to get rid of my nerves.
"Well shit, that was quick." Alex laughed as he sipped his slowly. I smiled and took it upon myself to pour another glass.
Stacey was bubbly as ever, even without the alcohol. Her and Alex seemed to hit it off really well, and for that I was grateful. It had been awhile since she had someone she could be herself around, besides me of course.
My eyes travelled to Kason, who sat with his legs spread and a smaller glass sitting on his knee as he stared out the window. It was filled with something much darker than the champagne and I could only guess it was liquor.
Losing hope of having a conversation with him, I turned back to the obnoxious people in front of me and began laughing along with them.

We arrived to Hawley's laughing and stumbling over one another. All except Kason, who kept a solemn look focused on his phone. I couldn't care less about him at this point, I was having fun with Stacey and Alex.
Once we made it to the door the man who stood at the podium gave us a polite smile, as he tried hard not to chuckle at our behavior.
"Ahh, go ahead and have a laugh Martin. You deserve at least one having to work at this place." Alex said to the man, and Martin let out a soft hum.
"You're right about that Mr. Livingston, reservation for the four of you yes?" He smiled as Alex nodded and we followed him deeper into the restaurant.
We walked through and elegant wooded dining room with maroon table clothes and sparkling chandeliers hanging above. As we approached a table, I went to sit down as Alex laughed at me.
