I stumbled out of the bar and squinted at the sunlight pouring from behind a building.

"Fuck." I mumbled rubbing my hands down my face and placing them over my eyes.

There was a tap on my shoulder and I peeked through my fingers to see a pair of sunglasses. Forcing out a thank you I placed them over my burning eyes.

"Rough night?" Kason grumbled from behind me.

"As if you'd care." I raised my voice, wincing at the ache beginning to form beneath my temples.

"Believe me, I couldn't care less. Once Stacey sent the location though, I couldn't risk you getting hurt." He explained.

"What does the location have to do with anything? It's a local pub not a trap house." I groaned starting to become irritated.

Fucking Stacey. She can fuck right off.

"A local pub run by a siren and an incubus." Kason mumbled.

"Don't talk about Octavia that way! She was nothing but nice to me, more than I can say for you."

"I lent you my sunglasses, that is the pinnacle of my kindness." I glared at him as we walked, stumbling on a crack in the sidewalk.

"Shit." I cursed, bracing myself to fall onto the hard cement. Instead I fell onto something hard and warm.

"Fucking humans. Can't even control yourselves after a night out. How humiliating." He sneered, lofting me back to my feet.

"Mmm, if humans are so awful what does that make you?"

"Wouldn't you like to know." He trailed off as we approached his car.

Unlocking the doors, he stepped around me and made his way to the drivers seat. I slid into the car as-well and gladly let my head fall against the window.

"Please don't throw up in here." Kason said as he started the car and began driving.

I hummed in response and began drifting into sleep.

I woke up with an immense banging in my head. Groaning I sat up and realized I had no idea what happened last night or where I was.

I rolled out of the silk sheets and looked down to see I was only in a large T-shirt and my underwear.

Oh god.

I stepped across the dark wooden floors to the door and walked out into the hallway. There was a large staircase to my left, which I assumed is where whoever lived here would be.

I was met with success as I seen somebody standing against the counter in the kitchen.

Stepping closer I realized it was Kason.

"Mind telling me what I'm doing here? Or why I'm in your clothes?"

He turned slowly and chuckled at me.

"Good morning. You were shit-faced, I couldn't get ahold of Stacey to find out what to do with you. As for the clothes, you asked for something to wear last night."

I sighed in relief, "so nothing happened?"

He scoffed and my face screwed up in slight disappointment, "Heavens no."

I pressed my lips together and nodded.

"Anyways, would you like some breakfast?" Kason asked.
