I stumbled out of the Uber and thanked my driver. I wasn't exactly dressed to go clubbing, but I didn't care. The tequila I inhaled earlier was taking over me and I was delighted to be on my own.
I stepped through the door and immediately was met with the smell of sweat, alcohol, and weed.
My people.
I gained a couple of side glances because of my attire, but they soon went away and everyone went back to drinking or dancing.
This dress was a waste of money. It was absolutely gorgeous, but hell was it heavy. Had it always been this heavy? I think maybe I'm drunk.
I walked through the crowds and to the bar.
"I'll have uhhh, two shots of vodka and a side salad." I winked at the bartender. He nodded knowingly and placed a joint between the two glasses as he pushed them toward me.
I paid and downed the shots as quickly as possible, leaving the glasses and stepping back out onto the dance floor.
I lifted the joint and screamed, "Hey bitches, I need a light!"
Laughter broke out and cheers were heard throughout the room. Soon enough a girl with blonde and purple hair came up to me and happily lit it. I thanked her by giving her a drag, and watched her ass bounce as she walked away.
What can I say, it was nice and I was smashed out of mind. People danced all around me and I could feel them stepping down on the dress every so often, but I didn't care. Ruin this fucking thing. It's worthless.
At some point the girl from earlier had come back around and we ended up dancing and smoking together.
We were giggling up a storm and she had fell against me, making us laugh even harder.
"You want a change of clothes? I always keep some behind the bar, my brother owns the place." She explained over the music.
I nodded thankfully and we made our way back to the bar, which resulted in me taking two more unnecessary shots. She talked to the bartender for a moment and he came back around with a pile of clothing.
"We could go in the back or the bathroom. Your choice really."
"If the back is cleaner than the bathrooms, I'll gladly go there." She laughed and led me through the crowd and into a door near the bar.
The music was drown out as it shut and I sighed in relief.
"Must've had a hell of a night to come out partying in this thing." She chuckled, helping me unzip the dress.
"It was eventful." I laughed and slipped into the dark jeans and T-shirt.
Much better.
"Ready to get back out there?" She motioned to the door and I nodded following behind her.
As soon as we stepped out the music was blasting and I allowed the clouds of weed smoke to fill my lungs. Holy shit am I having a good time.
We shoved our way back onto the dance floor and began grinding on each other once again. At some point, the Macarena had begun to play and we had a train of people latching onto us.
"Aye Macarena!" The crowd cheered and threw their hands into the air. It continued like that for what felt like hours and I was having a blast, until he walked in.
His hair was still perfectly styled and that damned suit of his looked fresh pressed. Eyes glued to his phone, he spread the sea of people as he walked and sat at the bar.
I hadn't realized I was staring until his icy glare met mine. He got up and made his way toward me, but I turned and grabbed the girls hand so we could dance elsewhere.
"Hey, I never got your name." I shouted as we now danced on top of the pool table.
"It's Octavia, but my friends call me O." She smiled.
I only nodded and continued dancing with her, placing my hands on her hips as we dipped back and forth to the music.
The song shut off abruptly, which resulted in a chorus of boos and yells toward the D.J.
"Audrey!" A deep voice yelled and I immediately snapped my head to the sound.
"We need to go now. It's six in the morning and Stacey is worried." I glared down at him from atop the pool table and chuckled."Oooh and the big, strong man is here to take me home? Forget it, you brute." I spat and turned my attention back to Octavia. The crowd had began cheering as the D.J. shrugged and decided the music had stopped long enough.
Kason stood taken aback and shook his head as he went to sit at a booth near the pool table.
Dickhead.
I'm sure O could tell I was tense because she wrapped her arms around my neck and swung her head around stupidly to gain my attention. It worked. I laughed at her and we began dancing again until my foot slipped and we stumbled off the table onto the floor.
I groaned as she climbed off of me and we both stood. The crowd now looking back at us again.
"Whatcha lookin at, let's take some shots!" I screamed throwing my fist in the air earning cheers from everyone.
Octavia laughed and led me back over to the bar, I could feel my head throbbing but thought nothing of it.
She ordered four shots of tequila and we drank them in unison. We both shook our heads at the burn and let it sink in before finding a booth.
"I've known you for only a few hours and you'll already given me the best night of my life." I laughed looking toward O.
She smiled gently and laid her head on my shoulder. "I agree, it's been a blast."
I tilted her head up to mine and looked at her eyes. They were beautiful, big blue orbs with freckles of brown and green.
"Can I kiss you?" I whispered, instead of answering, she placed her lips on mine and moved them slowly against my own.
I brought my hand around to rest on her neck as she gently held my arm. A loud cough broke the moment and caused my head to look up.
"I think it's time for us to go." Kason spoke as his grimace never faltered.
"Or she could stay, as she has already told you to fuck off." Octavia said raising to her feet. She fell about five inches beneath Kason's chin and I held back a laugh at the sight.
"Look, her friend sent me here to get her and I'm not staying just so she can make out with you."
"What are you jealous?" O said placing her hands on her hips. For a moment, Kason faltered and was taken aback by her words.
Then he grunted and pushed past her only to grab my arm.
"Hey let go of her!" She screamed and began pulling on Kason's arm. It was no use, her small frame couldn't possibly pull me from his tight grip.
"O, it's fine. I have to get going, he's right." She frowned at my words, but nodded.
"Could you let go of me long enough to get my dress," I smirked," and her number of course." Kason glared at me, blue eyes ablaze and let go of my arm.
Octavia walked with me into the back room and huffed.
"What's his deal?"
"I'm trying to figure that out too." I sighed, I grabbed my dress and waited while Octavia put her number into my phone.
Giving her a quick kiss, I waved and made my way back out into the bar.
"Thanks for the cock block." I mumbled as I stormed past Kason and out the door.
