Got word from Thom and Grace, told me to take the Old Place. Told them they should come by see if they want anything else. Had to stop on the diary for a while. Started my own just to keep track things I've learned. Momma might have been a slave. No one left here to check on that. Going to New Richmond in Ohio to see about Fiddlers Knob.
Maybe some family left that can help. Lenard was the man's name, remember that much. Check on that this week. Been moving in our stuff to the Old Place. Thinking I am done with work, Pops always said put back some. So I tried all my life to put back some. That flag could of been Poppy's far as I know, he did fight in the war, Pops stayed at home.
Least he didn't mention being in the war.
Could be, I don't know what I thought I knew about the family. Could I find things out, I don't want to know. Family is family no matter what. Tired best get off to bed.
