done with the cleaning, i shut all the lights and walked outside to the chilly air. to be honest, i'm quite scared to walk alone at night but there's no choice. it's okay, i can just sprint home. grumbling, i struggled with the lock on the door.

"come on, work with me!" i muttered underneath my breath frustratedly.

click. the door locked. i put my fists in the air victoriously, satisfied with my achievement.

"wow, look at our sooyeonie working hard,"

standing there was the toeface himself, na jaemin. with crossed arms and a smug face, he looked so proud. a red bruise on that face would totally look great. wait-how does he know when my shift is over?

"your boss told me when you finish," he muttered, turning my mouth into an o shape. in my head, i silently thank all the gods for having jaemin to accompany me.

"to congratulate our little yeonnie, i'm gonna treat you dinner tonight!"

i opened my mouth to object, but my stomach decided to betray me and made the biggest roar ever, making jaemin smirk. as much as i hate jaemin, i wouldn't mind free food at all.

"how about pork belly?"

-

slices of marinated meat sizzled on the grill, watering my mouth. jaemin put a cooked one on my plate and i devoured it in seconds. the last time i ate was at 9 am this morning ok?

two bottles of soju was placed on the table, making me lift my head up at jaemin.

the last time i drank alcohol was on my 20th birthday and long story short, it was not a fun ride. i got the biggest headache and puked a lot the next day. it was only a can of beer. after that incident, i swore that i will never ever drink any alcohol substance ever again.

"does baby yeonnie not drink?" jaemin teased.

"o-of course i do!" i shout at him. "and stop belittling me i'm only 3 months younger than you!"

jaemin raised his eyebrows in disbelief. getting defensive, i grabbed the glass bottle, downing it in one go. slamming it on the table, i sat back proudly.

i widened my eyes at sooyeon. dang, she's a good drinker. it never crossed my mind that a little weakling like her could tolerate that much alcohol. still in awe, i handed her a lettuce wrap. i would never expect kim sooyeon, the goody two shoes could do that.

i frowned at the thought, memories of sooyeon and i when we were younger playing inside my head. she's always been that one person who always has everything together. finishing homeworks on time, never studies last minute and gets 8 hours of sleep everyday. but in a million years i would never imagine sooyeon doing something so reckless and bad like just now. people do change.

"pass me the sauce," she ordered, food loaded in her mouth.

nevermind, she's very much the same. passing the sauce to her, she smiled gratefully, holding up a thumbs up and continued to stuff her face with even more meat. this girl looks like she's never eaten for 10 years. gross.

"why are you being so nice to me?" she mumbled staring down at more food for her to devour.

"i told you i want to make it up to you,"

"ACHOO!" she sneezed, shaking the whole restaurant. oh no. customers looked at our direction making me hide my face in my hands, feeling the secondhand embarrassment. someone, please shoot me.

taking the chance to tease sooyeon's monstrous sneeze, i vibrated in my seat, pretending there's an earthquake.

"stop it!" sooyeon said through giggles, throwing a ball of tissue to my face. ouch. why my handsome face?

"don't throw your snot covered tissue to me," i picked up the ball with my two fingers, flinging it back to her.

  "i don't have snot, i'm-"

i stuffed a piece of lettuce into her mouth to shut her up, making her huff while chewing on the piece of lettuce like a goat. i laughed at her expression, mimicking it with exaggeration. she bursted into laughter at my expression, clutching onto her stomach.

for a second, i completely forgot about my hectic packed schedules. i felt like i'm at home again, like a regular teenager hanging out with his best friend.

-

"jaemin-ah you're the best," she slurred with droopy eyes.

is she drunk? did she just say i'm the best?! mission completed. all my guilt was washed away. with puppy eyes i questioned, "do you forgive me now?"

she tapped her finger on her chin, pretending to think. she grinned and shook her head.

"i will forgive you one day if you-"

her head fell to the table with a huge slam, turning all heads in our direction. that's it, she's totally, definitely drunk. i awkwardly smiled at everyone. that's the second time tonight.

that was bold of me to think that she's a good drinker. getting up from my seat, i paid for our food at the counter.

"sooyeon, it's time to go,"

"no!" geez, how annoying.

"get up now, it's getting late already,"

she made a face and whined, saying she couldn't get up. if i knew she would be this annoying i wouldn't have treated her in the first place. it's too late to regret.

"piggyback ride?" she suggested with a smiley face. i let out a big sigh, growing frustrated.

glancing back at the clock, i gasped. oh no. i have to be back in 15 minutes. should i just leave her behind? no! she will never forgive me then. i don't have a choice. goodbye my back, it was nice to meet you.

kneeling down at the floor, sooyeon jumped on my back. ouch. wincing in pain, i used all my strength to get up. i should become a weightlifter.

"let's go!" she cheered. this heavy ass bitch. i could feel my bones cracking  and her arms were wrapped around my neck, almost choking me. well, that's my workout for the day. can't wait to get scolded by mark later on for staying out too late.

the things i do for you, kim sooyeon.

"i missed you minnie,"

my footsteps came to a stop. turning my head, she was already passed out, snoring lightly.

i missed you too dumbo.

-

"where were you?!" mark asked - well technically screamed in my ear.

"hyung, chill. i was just out nearby," i rolled my eyes at how protective he's being. i plopped down on the couch next to the maknaes, playing a video game.

i looked through my camera roll, deleting unnecessary old pictures. don't ask why i have 10 pictures of cat paws. my fingers slid to the last photo, a selca i took of me and sooyeon just now. her head was on my shoulder, eyes closed and her steam-bun-like cheeks squished to my neck.

zooming in at her face, i let out a giggle.

"hyung, what are you laughing at?" chenle asked, peeking at my phone screen.

"nothing," i clicked the off button, turning the screen to black.
