Hey guys! I'm so very sorry for not updating sooner. I have been jet lagged and absolutely consumed in traveling. Good thing was I added 4 more countries I've been to so that's great. What's not great is the fact that I can't be on Wattpad much because of an abundant lack of WiFi and I'm only able to use my phone, not my computer.

I've been working on this for the few moments I could so I apologize if it is terrible and super short. Thank you to those who have added my story and/or voted on it too! So please read. I'll add a part two as soon as possible.

Now I've seen a lot of things in my time and I thought nothing could surprise me anymore but boy was I wrong. Because here I was at Ichiraku's on a Saturday gaping at Naruto who was eating his 10th bowl of ramen that day. But that wasn't even the surprising part. I had been staking Naruto for a about two weeks, before and after classes, and I'll tell you I have never seen someone eat more than 20 bowls a day for 14 days straight.

"Kid I don't understand how you can eat that much ramen and not keel over and die,"I said in disbelief.

Naruto stopped stuffing his face with noodles and looked at me in shock.

"You can die from eating too much ramen?!"he gasped like the thought had never occurred to him.

I blinked owlishly at him. I almost asked myself whether Naruto was that stupid before I answered my own question. Grabbing Naruto's shoulders, I shook him roughly.

"What the heck is wrong with you Naruto?! How could you have not know that???"

He waved his hands in defense. "I thought ramen cured everything that's why I never get sick, believe it! I didn't think you could die!"

Releasing him from my grip, I groaned and smacked my head against the counter. I should have known guarding Naruto was going to be a curse. Next to me Naruto chuckled nervously before quickly finishing his bowl. From behind the counter, Teuchi and his daughter laughed at my predicament.

"Please don't scare my best customer (Y/n),"the man asked as he took Naruto's empty bowl.

"I don't think I've actually done anything,"I said, pointing out the fact that Naruto was steadily working on his 11th bowl.

Lifting my head, I rested it on my hand and watched Naruto. This kid was definitely something else. Very similar to his father but also very different. He was his own person and he would probably have an early death due to his large intakes of sodium, that is if I didn't help him first.

Waiting carefully, I snatched Naruto's hand the moment he placed down the empty bowl, slammed down some money, and stalked out of the quaint shop yelling goodbye to its owner as I dragged the blond behind me. I was going to get him some food other than ramen even if I had to force him to eat it.

"(Y/n),"Naruto cried as he fumbled trying to keep up with my fast pace. "Why'd we leave Ichiraku's? I'm still hungry. Where are we going?"

"I'm not going to let you have an early death just because you're a slave to ramen,"I replied, pulling him past the shopping district towards the markets. "We're going to the market where I'm going to get some ingredients and then I'm going to make you some real food."

This struck a cord within Naruto because he stayed silent for awhile seemingly contemplating my words as he let pull him along. His response came moments later, whispered softly enough to where someone else would have missed it.

"No ones ever made me homemade food before."

If I had been human I probably would've cried at the heart breaking comment, but I'm not so my reaction was a small snort. Stopping just short of the market place, I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze making the boy flush slightly.
