Waiting for the end of your life is not exactly exciting...

I stood with my arms around my head waiting for the monster to kill me any minute. I waited a while before slowly lowering my arms, only to find a figure on top of the monsters head. The person held a sword that was plunged into the monsters skull.

Blueish/greenish liquid came out in splurges. I barely missed a spray of liquid as I jumped to the side. I glanced up at the person that was pulling the sword out of the monsters skull and wiping the sword with a thin rag.

I debated on whether I should have stayed to say thank you or to run off in case that person wanted to kill me as well. I settled with the latter and began sneakily jogging away.

I was stopped abruptly by something pulling my shirt which yanked me backwards. I yelped in surprise and landed harshly on my bottom. "The second time...I'm going to have so many bruises." I cursed under my breath, rubbing my sore butt.

I was yanked up to my feet and was spun around. I was too much in shock to notice that I was lifted up off the ground and was thrown over someone's shoulder.

"H-Hey! LET ME DOWN!" Once I snapped out of my confused daze I began wiggling in the strangers grip. The person didn't say anything, they just tightened their grip on my waist. "LET GO OF ME YOU PERVERT!" I pounded my fists against his back and frantically kicked my legs.

I was suddenly thrown to the ground landing on my butt, again. I looked up and felt my breath leave me. The man almost had no face, the only thing left was his nose. He unsheathed his sword and pointed it at me, the point directly touching my throat.

He was threatening me, telling me to shut up. Since I valued my life I just shut my mouth and waited for what came next.
Which was unexpected since all the events that happened so far were unlucky.

Something whisked passed my head and slammed against the sword which had the sword thrown to the side. The faceless stranger looked to his left before going to pick me up again.

I took the chance and started running since he didn't have the sword on him.
Once I got up and ran I could hear their footsteps right behind me. Adrenaline and the fear of being caught made me run faster, I was able to get onto the busy street.

I internally cheered when a lot of people started to gather as a crowd. I ran straight towards the crowd and squeezed between bodies, trying to hide myself.

I hid behind a large creature that was some sort of hybrid of a human and pig. I looked around him and found the faceless man had stopped at the edge of the alley. I assumed he didn't want to go into the street.

I eventually calmed down once he turned and walked back into the alley. I let out a deep sigh and let my body relax.

Who saved me?

I thought back to when something had been thrown and knocked the sword.

Was it just a coincidence?
Well whatever it is I'm grateful

I smiled and leaned against a stall. "But now what am I gonna do? The suns going down." I worriedly looked at the setting sun.
