My eyes pried themselves open, gazing up at the familiar light pink ceiling. I sat up slightly regretting the decision since my muscles were still aching from all the excessive exercise.

Why does Grandpa Dickson know Beatrice?

And who was that lady?

I had a couple of questions buzzing around in my mind but they were eventually pushed back to the furthest part of my brain once a knock was heard on the door.

I got out of the comfortable bed and walked towards the door. I opened the door and instantly tried to close it again.
The males foot slipped between the door and frame before I got to close it.

"Don't be like that, I'm not the enemy." I didn't slam the door in his face for that reason. The reason was because I felt bad and slightly embarrassed that I had kicked the dude in the crotch. "After all don't you owe me an apology?"

I frowned and opened the door. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. "I need to give YOU an apology?" His purple eyes were clearly amused as he nodded.
I snorted and shook my head. "Sorry but I wasn't the one who kidnapped someone just because they looked like someone else."

He chuckled making me sigh. "I guess it didn't hurt that much." I commented, rolling my eyes at the arrogant male. "Well you seem to be doing well yourself." He commented back making the both of us snicker.

He reminded me a lot of an old friend I had. We had always bickered like that.
"Anyway Henry suggested I wake you up for dinner." Without warning he grabbed my wrist and began dragging me with him.

"I never got your name!" I huffed giving up and just following the brunette. "I'm Nate. You are?" He flashed me a smile over his shoulder. "I'm Lee."

Nate pushed open the huge oak doors and continued dragging me in towards the long table that sat in the middle of the luxurious hall. My jaw dropped, seriously wondering where I was.
"This place is huge!" I gasped looking at the beautiful fire place.
It was even more extravagant than the fire place in grandpa Dicksons mansion.

"It's huge?" I flat out glared at the snobby comment Nate had made but it didn't seem like he actually realized how much of a snob he sounded like. He pulled me all the way to the other side of the long table, passing many faces I did not know.

He pulled me to Henry's side and made me seat between him and Henry, who sat at the head of the table.
"Thank you all for joining. I'm sad to inform you that the news of Beatrice's return was false, but along the way we have someone who will be staying with us until she can get home. Welcome Lee."

Henry held up his glass and every other hundreds of people at the table did the same, drilling holes into my head with their stares.
