I glanced around the room and found a window. It was just the right size for me to fit through. I ran towards it and tried opening the latch but like the door, it was locked. "I had hoped they were idiots and left the window open..."

I tensed up hearing keys being inserted into the door. I frantically searched the room before I decided to hide under the bed. I slipped below it just in time for the door to open.

I watched a pair of shoes walk in before they stopped. "Oh no, where is she?" The person turned and ran out, shouting, "BEATRICE HAS ESCAPED!"

I got out from beneath the bed and thanked the gods that the person had left the door open. I walked out into the hallway looking right and left. No one was in sight but the hallway seemed to have been really long.

I stood and just listened until I heard footsteps to my right. I turned and dashed down the hall to my left. My limbs still ached so I wasn't as fast as I would have been. The many people who had run down to the right side of the room caught me, making me silently curse.
"There She is!"

Can't you people just give me a break?

I was too lost in thought and didn't see the million of toys laying in the middle of the hallway resulting in me tripping over the toys and landing face first. "You Universe can't give me a break, can you." I cried feeling my chin and nose throb. "Why are there toys in the middle of the hall?"

The many people caught up and surrounded me. "Where do you think you're going Beatrice." I sat up and growled. "Enough with the Beatrice stuff. You have the wrong person." I snapped looking up and finding many unknown faces. I glared making some of them step back. "You can't fool us, you haven't hid your aura."

I was confused on what they meant but I was honestly too tired to fight back. Two men picked me up by the arms and escorted me down the hall. "Henry will confirm it." I didn't know who Henry was so I just stayed quiet.

They brought me to a huge wooden door that looked incredibly smooth. A girl knocked on the door before a faint "come in" was heard. They opened the door and escorted me inside just for me to make a face at the thousands of plants that were in the room.

How can anyone breathe in here?

They walked me all the way to the other side of the room where an old man, the same man I saw in my dream, was seated at a large window. "Henry, we have brought Beatrice." The old man turned to us, his brightly lit green eyes zooming in on me.

"Hey you're the guy who was in my dream!" I said quite loudly but they all just ignored me.
"That is not Beatrice..." The old man's brows creased together, clearly confused. "Although she looks identical."
