Ciara Mendes

"Ciara I know I've never met this guy but I think you should definitely go out with him."

I took my phone from the tile floor next to the bathtub that Zendra was sitting in playing with her doll. A very large doll that Giovanni Haynes had given to her.

He had shown up on Wednesday with a jar of sugar daddies just like the one that I kept on my desk, as a way of another apology for eating the last one. Zen and I were on our way from lunch when we met him on the first floor. The moment he saw us he stood with his mouth slightly agape and it was only when Zen said 'Aunty who is the pweety man staring at us?', the surprised look went away and he smiled at her.

On Thursday he showed up again, I was thinking of calling security but he had ask if it was alright to gift Zendra the doll that was almost her height, and I could not say no to her. All she had to do was stare at me with those large blue eyes and I gave in as if she had given me a long speech to persuade me.  After he had a friendly conversation with Zendra, the only words he said to me was 'I have to go.' Not that I cared where he had to go since I did not want him there in the first place.

I took the phone from speaker and press it to my ear. "Zen by the time I get back  you're coming out of that bath do you hear me?"

She smile at me while using the doll's hand to wave. I return her smile before closing the door of my en suite and taking a seat on my bed.

"I don't know Evei, I just- I don't think I can handle another serious relationship right now."

"Honey, no one said it had to be serious. You know how much guys are scared of a serious relationship anyways. Just have a little fun, he'll probably show you a good time and if not then you have my permission to kick him to the side like a filthy rag."

I smile, "I don't think I can treat someone like that Eve."

"You're a softy, I get it and I love you despite of that but it's been two weeks are is it almost three weeks? It doesn't matter show that loser that this breakup only made you strong- hold on a minute C." Evei says as I hear shuffling and voices in the background.

"Sorry that was just my makeup artist. Like I was saying show him you're strong even if you are not. Here is an even a better idea forget him. You need to move on with you're life be happy and go out with this guy, you did say Z said he was pretty and I trust that kid so go for it."

We chuckle before I heard the phone beeping signally that I was getting other call. I check the phone and frown why was she calling me.

"You got a fashion show to get ready for and I'm getting another call, but I'll think about what you said."

"Make sure you do sweetie, love you. Buy my niece an ice cream cone for me will you."

"Love you too Evei, I will." I say before she disconnect the call.

I put the phone on speaker again as I answer the call. "Tell me mother, what did I do to have the pleasure of hearing your voice?"

"Enough with the childish behaviour Ciara. I need you to mend things with your sister."

I open the door to the bathroom  and enter. Zendra was busy combing the ridiculously large doll raven hair. "Zenny sweetie say hello to Grandma."

"Hi Grandma!" She yells splashing around.

"Now princess I told you that calling me Vi are Viviana is alright with me. Will you actually listen this time?"

I roll my eyes at her question and the tone she use. Instead of answering Zendra gave me a look before continuing to play with her doll.

"Ciara I'm coming to visit this weekend, you, your sister and myself will be having lunch together and I will not leave until things are sorted out."

"Zen is getting wrinkly for sitting in the water too long I have to go." Without waiting for her to say something I disconnect the call.

Having to be in a room with that woman for more than ten minutes is torture. I do not plan on going anywhere near those two women.

I should leave before she gets here.

Giovanni Haynes

I lean back in my seat studying the woman before me. I would have chosen to be anywhere but here at this moment, if it was not for her going around threatening my staff and slapping my secretary.

She had insisted that I take her to The Globe a five star restaurant. She did not deserve anything from me but I took her just to get her off my back.

Jasmine Lavigne sat reading her menu.  She wore a white skin tight dress with her brunette hair curled to one side exposing the diamond stud in her left ear.

If this was my first time seeing her I would have thought that she was the most innocent woman to walk on earth.

"What do you want Jasmine?" I ask getting straight to the point.

"Do you remember these earrings Gio?  You got them for my twenty first birthday." She says ignoring my question.

I precisely remember giving her a trip to Spain since it was the only gift she wanted. It has always been trips and fancy parties but I did get her a single jewellery for her twenty second. It was the first jewellery I ever bought her but I did not give it to her because of what she had done.

"You must have your story mixed up with one of many others you shared with other men."

She open her mouth to speak but was interrupt by a waiter."Are you ready to order Madam, Sir?"

I watch with disgust as she put on her award winning smile, that could get any man to drop a bag of cash at her feet, unfortunately I had been one of those blind men.

"I'll have a sweet and sour chicken salad and your finest red wine." She says in her southern accent.

An accent I use to love so much.

"I'll have a chicken Marsala and pasta." I told the waiter, knowing damn well that I was not going to sit here and have  dinner with such a woman.

As soon as the young waiter left she move her dark red lips to form words. "I'm sorry for that and I'm also sorry for doing what I did to make you hate me so much, but keep it in mind that I am not leaving until you forgive me."

"You-" I was cut off by the ringing of my phone in my suit pocket.

Retrieving it I press it to my ear as I continue to glare at the wide eye woman.

"Hello?" The last voice I thought I would hear calls from the other line.

"Buttercup?" A smile grew on my face though I wonder how she had gotten my number and this number to be precise.

"Can we meet tomorrow?"

"We could even meet right now if you want." My foul mood was gone as I imagine her rolling her beautiful grey eyes.

The waiter return, I nodded at him to do what he came here to do and move along.

"I'm guessing tomorrow will be a good time?" She ask.

"Sure buttercup."

"I'm sorry to have called this late, I'll text you the details."

I did not mind her calling me so late but I did not comment on it.

"Alright Good night love."

Even though she disconnect the call without replying that did not stop a smile from forming on my face which disappeared the instant the woman before me spoke.

"Buttercup?"

I pocket my phone and stood from the table. "You say what you needed to say and I will never forget what you did which makes it impossible for me to forgive you. Don't worry about paying the bill it's already been taken care of."

Without spearing her one last glance I make my way out of the restaurant.
