Ciara Mendes

I woke up on the bathroom floor with this excruciating headache and stomach pain. I reek of the vomit that is in my hair and on my clothes. This was both disgusting and embarrassing, my mouth tasted of acid and what I assume old dirty socks would taste.

I brush my teeth first before crawling into the shower after scrubbing my body until I felt clean I step out, grabbing onto the glass in order to prevent myself from falling. My head felt as if I had been spinning in circles for hours instead of showering.

After getting dress in a normal lime green bodysuit and jeans pants I debated on going back to sleep are getting something to eat. I chose the latter since I am ravenous.

I rub my neck and back as I enter the kitchen. There were aches in both, but I guess that's what I get for getting drunk and falling asleep on the bathroom floor like a wild teenage girl.

"You look like you could use this." A masculine voice says as I enter the kitchen.

I roll my eyes. It was nine fifteen in the morning and I thought that he'd be out meeting with his clients instead of still being here.

I eyed the yellow looking slime in the glass he push towards me."Are you now trying to poison me?"

Instead of wearing his business suits as perusal he is wearing a red T-shirt and grey sweat pants. I bite my lower lip and quickly diverted my attention to the granite counter. He was just too good looking. The shirt was tight enough to show all his strong well define muscles underneath and I didn't even trail my gaze down further because when it came to men in sweats and myself it is like Superman and kryptonite; my biggest weakness.

Another point that should be made is that a man with his personality did not deserve to be this handsome.

"If the roles were reversed I'd be the one thinking that about you." He joke but I was not laughing, "Just drink it Ciara it's my mother's hangover recipe."

I look at it for a moment before bringing it to my lips. It smelled worst than I did waking up on the bathroom floor.

When Giovanni saw me hesitating he says, "I promise you it doesn't taste as bad as it smells and if you drink it I'll buy you your favourite candy."

"I'm not a child Giovanni, you don't have to bribe me into drinking this." Besides the jar at my office was still filled with the sugar daddies; reason being I only had two since he gift it to me.

He literally grin at me and I wondered if it was something I said. "Bottoms up buttercup."

Pinching my nose I drank every bit of the slime and he was right it only had a slimy feel but no taste. "Good girl, now you might want to go and brush your teeth again."

Instead of arguing with him I did just that. With the smell and the feeling that was left in my mouth another brush is well needed.

When I return to the kitchen he was yelling to someone on the phone. I did not hear exactly what he was saying since the food on the kitchen counter caught my attention.

"Is everything alright?" I ask as he ends the call.

"My meeting was postpone until twelve." He says looking down on the tile floor.

I had a feeling that it was something more than that but I did not push further. It wasn't my place to interfere.

"I see you've ordered enough to feed ten people again." He seem tense so I gave him a small smile when he look at me.

"Yeah, I don't exactly know what your favourite is."

I laugh lightly, "So instead of asking me you decided to order everything on the breakfast menu?"

He shrug."The last time I asked you something about yourself you didn't seem like you wanted to tell me anything and I understand you're only here to do your job. We're not friends so why should you bother?"

His words bought a frown on my face. I was about to tell him what my favourite was but decided against it since he decided to be so rude. Though I'm guessing I deserve it since I've been nothing but rude to him since we met. He wasn't the one who told me he didn't want to go out with me nor was he the one who threaten to take out a restraining order against me. I was the one who lead him in the arms of Lindsay.

What hurts more is the thought that maybe I had also been the one who led Fisher in the arms of Bridget, maybe I wasn't as consistent as I should have been.

Giovanni Haynes

I regret the words the moment they left my mouth. I shouldn't have taken out my problems with Jasmine on her.

I watch as she took a seat at the kitchen counter and butter her bread. She refuse to look at me.

"Ciara I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that." I move around the counter to sit next to her.

"No need for an apology. You're right after all. Since your meeting was postpone we can continue the interview."

"I have a better idea." I say brushing away the hair that fell from her loose bun. She tense up before relaxing and looking at me with her beautiful grey eyes.

"What might that be?"

"We'll  take a look around, see what this Island has to offer." I take a bite of my jam toast.

I stared at her mesmerize as she reach over and use her thumb to wipe away what I'm assuming was jam from my lower lip before sticking it in her mouth. By the shades of her cheek that grew slightly to my favourite colour I could tell that she just realize what she did.

She look away and clear her throat, "That was uncalled-for. I'm sorry."

She was embarrass while the small gesture increase the speed rate of my heart. It was cute seeing her like this and at this very moment all I wanted to do was to kiss her until her knees became weak.

"There's no need to be embarrass buttercup, I'm not mad at you." Very far from it. "So will you join me are do I have to go down on my knees and beg."

She use her index finger to tap her temple as if she was thinking.

"I'll prefer you go on your knees and beg." She smile at me and for once it wasn't one of those robotic type of smile like she always showed me.

I stood from my chair, "Oh I'll do anything to get you to go out with me baby."

Before I could get down on my knees she raise her hands in surrender, "No I was only joking. I didn't pack any sunscreen I'll just see if I find anything at a shop near by."

This was the first time she's being playful and not that woman who seemed like the world was on her shoulders or a stick was up her ass. At this moment I truly felt as if I've achieved something much better than being just a billionaire.

"Are you serious?"

Ciara stare at me in confusion, "About what, not having a sunscreen?"

"No, about coming with me." I must say I thought she'd say no despite this not being a date– I just thought that she wouldn't want to go anywhere with me. Even last night I had asked her to join me and instead of doing so she sat four seats away and didn't even say a word. If I had not look in her direction then I would not have even saw her.

"It's not a date Giovanni."

I watch as she abandon the food and I and left for her room. This was the second time in less that forty minutes that she called me Giovanni and not Mr Haynes.

I wonder what had gotten into her are what was in the drink she drank last night.
