Diana flipped her room almost upside down in an attempt to find little Billy's favorite stuffed animal. She huffed as the search for the tiny cow seemed fruitless. She heard Billy wailing from his crib as she tore the blankets off her own bed. She ran a hand through her hair in frustration. Just as she was about to give up, she saw a tiny white leg sticking out from underneath her bed. She grabbed at the cow, hitting a box with her hand. She brought the tiny cow toy over to Billy, who almost immediately stopped crying when he saw it.

Once he calmed down, she went back to her bed, pulling out the shoebox. She flopped onto her bed and opened the lid. She rummaged through it, finding old polaroids of her and Corinne when they were a bit younger playing dress up in Lynnette's clothes. She rummaged some more, coming across a picture of her on Hopper's back last winter, beaming at whoever took the photo, while she pulled his tuque over his eyes. She smiled at the memory, a catch in her throat. She set the polaroid aside and reached back into the box, removing a pile of polaroids of her and Billy.

One was from the Snowball, she in her sparkly turquoise dress, he in his grey sports coat. She smiled up at him as he shot a cheeky grin at the camera. Another was from the same night, only he was kissing the top of her head. Another was of her seated on the hood of the Camaro, cross-legged, while he leaned on the front fender, aviator sunglasses on. Real tears began to fall now, as she found more pictures, one from their trip to the mall when he bought her Cyndi Lauper tickets, others from their trip to California.

She reached over, grabbing his jean jacket, that she shamelessly slept with, clutching it close to her chest as she sobbed.

She heard footsteps approach then her door creak open.

"You alright, pumpkin?" Rudy asked.

She shook her head as she struggle to see him through her tears.

"Is there anything I can do to make it better?" He asked.

"No, Rudy. But there is something that I need to do, and I hope you understand" Diana said through sobs.

"Whats that, Hun?" He asked.

"I need to go to California"
