Billy followed closely behind Diana as she stalked back into Starcourt. Inside, the mall lay silent. Diana stopped and turned to Billy. A sinister smile crossing her face. He nodded at her and her face turned to instant, faked panic.
"El! El help me! He wont let me go! Please El I cant fight him much longer!" She feigned despair.
The group hid behind counters and a car that was parked for a raffle. Max looked over at El, who was fighting off tears, and shook her head slowly.
When no one answered Diana's cries, she glared over at. Billy, who shrugged.
"Alright. Listen here you little bitch. I WILL find you, and when I do, Im going to fillet your skin off piece by tiny piece. Now, maybe, I dont know, if you were to come out right now, I could maybe spare a friend or too" Diana taunted.
Again, no response. Diana let out a cry of rage and picked up a food court chair, launching it through a stores display window, which got a laugh from Billy.
"Its ok baby. They wont be able to hide much longer" Billy said.
Just then, a thumping began from outside. The kids looked up through the sky glass of the mall ceiling into the darkness of the July night. A giant tentacle like arm came crashing through the ceiling. Glass shards fell onto the group below as El let out a blood curdling scream.
