Chapter 2

A few minutes before three-thirty , Mikasa knocked at my door telling me to get ready.

I grabbed my military green t-shirt, a pair of black shorts , and my TITAN snapback.

As I was about to slump at the sofa , Mikasa came out with her white tank top and purple-ish blue shorts. Of course, not forgetting her red scarf.

I stood up and walk to the door , slidding into my black sandals. It goes the same with Mikasa, as we know we'll be playing in the sands at the gathering.

Walking to Armin's took us about twenty minutes, because his house was near the beach.

We arrived at four pass a few minutes, few of the guys had already arrived before us.

There were Ymir and Historia,the two girls were helping with seasoning the meats and being all lovey dovey in the kitchen.

Yes ,They are an item.

You won't believe me,But I'm surrounded with couples.

Its sucks ,especially if there were special occasions. It feels like they're rubbing it at my face, eventhough they didn't realize it.

and then there's Reiner and Bertold , helping with setting up the BBQ grill and the table outside.They are also a thing.

There are a total of four couples , that I know of, in our circle. The last one was Connie and Sasha, but they aren't here yet, including Jean, Marco and Annie.

Well ,after seeing there's nothing we could do to help, we decided to kidnapp the short blond boy for a while to a stroll at the beach.

"It's been so long since the three of us hang out alone.."said the blond,

"Yeah.. there were always those guys, I mean its fun with them but.."

"..I missed the old times." I said,

"We've been busy nowadays. We can't help it." Mikasa said looking a bit sad.

Well, since our parents died in the accident, me and Mikasa tried our best to survive.

Armin's been living with us to help out with the chores.

But two years after that, Armin's grandfather died of disease.

So he moved back to their beach house from our apartment.

Mikasa stayed silent for a while,while me and Armin talking about our childhood memories.

We were just enjoying the stroll together, as the sky goes darker, we were called to start the BBQ party.

When we got back to the house ,Connie ,Sasha ,Jean and Marco were present.

Annie said she'll be here late ,'cause she still got things to do.

Dinner was a blast.

Sasha ate the most of it.

Bertold was sweating alot like a factory of sweat when he's near the grill,

while Reiner tried his best to wipe them with tissues ,it was quite a funny sight.

After dinner ,we built a bonfire at the beach. Then just talking and drinking ,telling stories and more drinking.

When it was Ymir's turn to tell a story, Mikasa had gone back inside to get more beers.

"Did you guys know the story about Shinganshina?" as the freckled black headed girl said with a serious tone.

We were all silent now,focusing on her story.

"Long ago, there's live a water spirit in these ocean.." she said ,while pointing out at the ocean near us.

"The spirit was still in peace, until the folks started to built a town here.." then she direct her point to the town behind us,

"The townfolks were fishing the fishes in the ocean for food without the spirit's permission. Then one day.."At this point ,all of us was absorbed in the story.

"The town was landed on a big disease.."

"..and since then ,every night the townfolks would be having nightmares of a half-human and half-fish creature with sharp razor teeth..." I could see Bertold fidgeting and sweating beside Reiner at this point.

"..coming at them from the ocean and eat them as they are paralysed!" Ymir said with a loud voice.

"BOO!!" suddenly Annie appeared scaring all of us to death ,accept for Ymir and Reiner who are practically laughing their asses off.

"Holly shit ,Annie!" I said, trying to calm my heartbeat after the sudden attack.

Bertold was frozen and pale like a piece of paper. Armin did a little squeak and Marco was just a bit startled, with Jean awoken from Sasha's and Connie's scream.

Historia was hidding in Ymir's arms ,as the freckled girl comfort the blonde.

"Pfft.. hahahahahaha... that was worth the wait!" Annie said high-fiving Ymir, while Mikasa just smilling behind her with some beers.

"hahaha..okay..okay..lets continue with the story.." Ymir said.

As soon as Annie and Mikasa took their sits , Ymir continued..

"The townfolks then gather together at the church to discuss about the disease and the nightmare ,then coming to a conclusion that they should make a deal with the spirit." she said.

"But what kind of deal did they made?"Historia asked,

Then the freckled girl smirks to the blonde beside her,

"It was said that each year,a human would be sacraficed to the Spirit, under the Fullmoon,regardless of their gender." she answered,

"and if they didn't give the sacrafice.."

"The Spirit will tranform it's tails into legs to come to the town and drag a human of it's choice back to the ocean with it." she ended it.

I shivered at the thought of it,

But it's just a story,

Yes, I am one of those people who doesn't believe in mythical creature or things like that.

There's no evidence or prove that they existed anyways.
