Chapter 7

I got back in after making sure my face was normal again, in color.

When I walked into the living room, I noticed there was another man sitting beside the woman with glasses.

The man was introduced as Moblit-san. He was apparently Hanji-san's lab partner or assistant, something like that. He had been by her side for quite a long time.

I didn't noticed earlier that she was wearing a long white lab coat. She does looked like a scientist, with her psychotic grin and curious overly exited eyes.

Moblit-san was different, though. He was a very patient man, as I see it. But he was also so obvious, it could clearly be seen he had feelings for the girl. I won't be surprise if they were together, though.

I mean, who wouldn't? They look perfectly suited for each other.

Hanji-san was so full of surprises and overly excited about science stuff. It was abit cute watching her jumping around.

On the contrary, the man sitting beside me, her friend, Levi-san was a mysterious man.

I only had known him for about a month or so, and I could only guess a few of his expressions' means.

And also about his smiles, it feels like there's something behind them. Or maybe it was just me. So lets just say he's a mysterious man, for now.

Hanji-san apparently was abandoning her work, when she came to visit Levi-san. So she got dragged back by her assistant that came to pick her up.

They gone back after a while. Most part of it was Hanji-san asking me to allow her dissect me, while Moblit-san stopped her while apolagizing about her behaviour.

From that meeting, I could tell that Hanji-san and Levi-san were good friends. She didn't even mind with the sarcastic replies and nicknames that he used, and  just laugh it off. They even have their own inside jokes. Amazing.

"Uhmm.. Levi-san.."

"You could drop the honorifics you know.." Levi-san was just closing the door as we see Hanji-san and her assistant off.

"Uhm.. okay.." I was hesitating abit.

"L-Levi.." I stuttered a bit, I could feel a slight heat on my ears.

"I can't hear you, Eren, if you speak without opening your mouth.." He said it with his straight face.

"um.. Levi.." I said with a bit louder voice, The heat had spreads to my face by now.

"Did you say something, Eren?" A sly smile was shown alittle at his face. That asshole.

". . . you did that on purpose!" flustered and abit angry, my face was now red to the neck.

"Did what?" he asked in an innocent tone, while trying to hide the curve at the corner of his mouth.

"I saw that!" I pouted at him, He was damn guilty.

"Saw what?" he arc an eyebrow, slightly smilling.

"You, smilling!" pointing at the obvious evidence,

"So?" He leaned forward showing his smug smile, still handsome though.

"I'm allowed to smile as I pleased, You can't ban me from it." He made his point. Well, Shit.

" Wha... But... You.. Wha.." My mouth was hanging open as my brows furrowed in confusion. He smiled at his victory, when I just stood there dumbfounded.

I was still standing there like an idiot, while he goes to the kitchen.

"So, brat, are you going to stand there all night or will you join me for dinner? I'm ordering pizza." One of his hand was pre-occupied with the phone, dialling the delivery number.

After a moment, I put my hands up, admitting defeat at the earlier battle.

Moving my feet towards the kitchen, and sitting on the stool at the kitchen's counter. Levi-san was at the opposite of the counter.

Okay, I am still abit embarrased calling him without honorifics.

Anyways..

Then suddenly I felt that I missed something important. I furrowed my brows and crossed my arms infront of my chest, thinking.

Something, that I always carry. Something, I never let go. Something, I always have with me all the time. And it hit me.

I don't have my phone.

Levi-san was rummaging through his own refrigerator when I asked him,

"Levi-sa.. ehm.. Levi? Have you seen my phone?"

"Hmm? ah, I borrowed it earlier to informed your boss that you were under the weather this morning.." He had founded what he was looking for and closed the fridge. Orange Juice. Grabbing some glasses from the cabinet and placing one infront of me. I muttered a 'thanks' when he did that.

"..I put it at the nightstand beside the bed.." After receiving the location of it, I gone to his bedroom to have it back.

Checking my texts for new ones, and missed calls.

There were more from Mikasa, asking me where I am and who's my friend, even after I texted her this morning before I blacked out. Typical Mikasa.

Armin only text me an 'okay' and a 'u know whre 2 find me when ur back'. Didn't forget to told me to report to him if the sickness gets worse.

One was from my Boss, Mr Shadis, saying I could come to work after I'm healthy again.

Then an 'one-hour before' reminder message pop up,

Alert!               Friday,16 July
Staff meeting at the bar!
7 pm!Don't be late!

And I realized, I forgot about my night job.

Genius, Eren. How can you freakin' forgot about something as important as this. Wow, just wow.

Face-palming myself. I grab my bag, it was leaning against the nightstand. Grabbing my bartender uniform from it, and peeking out from the bedroom.

"Levi-sa.." I forgot again right there.

"Levi.. could I borrow your shower for abit?I kinda forgot that I need to be at the bar at 7 for a meeting." He gave me an o.k sign, He was apparently on the phone.

I hurried to the bathroom to get ready for work. Levi-san informed me the clean towels was beneath the sink.

I got out 15 minutes later, and smelled Pizza from the kitchen. Grabbed a bite or two. Finished in 10 minutes.

I only got 35 minutes before the meeting starts. Levi-san offered a ride there, which I gladly accepted as I'm in a hurry.

It took about 20 minutes to reach the bar. Levi-san stayed, though.

I got him a glass of wine and a snack, to accompany him, while he's waiting at the bar.

The meeting was in the staff room at the back. It was only about new drinks for the menu and the new work schedule and a few suggestion for a change in the uniform.

Mr Smith, the boss and owner, make it short for the meeting. He said he got a friend waiting. After that, we were dismissed to get ready to open.

And apparently, Levi was his friend that he said earlier.

He and Levi took a seat at the corner of the room, away from the bar counter. I assumed they were discussing something important, from the look of their faces. Well, who knows.
