Third Person
Peeta and Gale are now 33 year of age and are still going strong without Katniss.
They both fell into a 2 year depression after they had left the square. Sitting next to each other in Peeta's bedroom.
It turns out Katniss killed herself in the arena because she knew if she won, she'd have to marry Jack and she didn't want that. She wanted to marry Peeta.
She wanted a happy married life with Peeta, but obviousky Snow thought something else and said they can't be together.
She watches down on them both all day, everyday to make sure their okay.
Everyone one of her friends miss her deeply. She's been dead for 11 years now, it's gone quite quick for them.
Gale is married with a daughter. He doesn't have a best friend though. He had one, but he said he will never replace her and he's kept his word.
Peeta on the other hand, lives with Finnick and Annie. They don't trust him to live on his own just in case he tries to kill himself.
He has the pictures of them both together in the meadow when they were 18 and 19 on his walls and is always painting pictures of her.
He still works as an art teacher. Gale works as an archery teacher and teaches the children in District 12 how to hunt and take care of themselves.
Peeta has been on dates with other girls, but thats it. He has never had the feelings with another girl like he did with Katniss so refuses to date.
He still wears his promise ring, and wears her pin on his tops or jackets her wears everyday. He refuses to take them off. He says if he takes them off then he's basically forgetting Katniss, even though he's not. He just likes to think that.
