(Jungkook's POV)
"I will be your substitute for a while... considering Mr. Min's current situation. Don't get too attached." He winked. "Y'all can call me Hoseok." Then he gave the whole class a blinding smile. He has charisma. He's a lot like Mr. Min, yet nothing like him.
"If you impress me, you can call me Hobi." Some girls and boys were swooning over him. Already?! I mean yeah he's good-looking, but these people swoon over any good-looking teacher. I'm not surprised.
This school has a tendency of hiring good-looking teachers and staff. Hell, the janitor, I think Jisoo was her name, looked like she could be a model. This substitute looked like a fucking idol. So did Mr. Min. "Turn in any due papers please!" He said once again with a bright smile.
Half of the students stood up. I did have all of that work due. Ugh whatever. I grabbed the papers from my backpack and lazily walked up to Hoseok's desk. I handed him the papers and trudged back to my own desk. What a fucking drag.
I tapped my foot impatiently, waiting for the class to finally initiate. "Ok class. Before we begin, I'd like for all of you to briefly introduce yourselves. Starting from the front row, to the end." He smiled again.
The girl in the first row stood up. "I'm Lalisa Manoban, Lisa for short." Hoseok nodded. "I'm Kim Dahyun." "Jaemin." It continued like that, until it finally got to me. I really didn't feel like getting up, so I didn't. "Jeon Jungkook." I gave him a half smile. His smile didn't falter whatsoever. "Great. Now that we've got that out of the way, so now we'll begin with the lesson of the day. Homonyms. Many of you are struggling with it."
He coughed and glanced at me for a split second. Of fucking course.
_____________(Yoongi's POV)
"IF YOU LOVE ME, LET ME GO-" Brendon's voice blaired from the speaker. The music wasn't loud enough and I was hungry. I felt too cold and dead to do anything about it. "THESE WORDS ARE KNIVES AND OFTEN LEAVE SCARS-" Right they were. They left permanent scars.
"The fear of falling apart~"
Too late.
"Truth be told, I never was yours. The fear of falling apart~"
I was listening to these types of songs all day. I don't think I made a single effort to make myself feel better. I just did the second best option. Which was to listen to sad yet upbeat music while sulking. The song was probably right. It just wasn't meant to be...
In a way, he never was mine. If I had just hid my feelings, he would still be alive and well...
It's a good thing Hobi came to check in on me...
except, I'd rather be dead.

(After school)
"You better back your shit up."
"Are you on your man period or something?"
I scoffed. "Quiet you. I'm trying to think." I really wasn't, I just wanted some peace and quiet for 5 seconds. Truth be told, I was extremely stressed with stupid calculus. It wasn't exactly my forté. I hated the thought of asking Jungkook for help, because I knew he'd act like a brat. "Ok let's go home now." Jungkook nodded.
Funny thing, walking home is. It has been the same route for years now, and you're bound to collect memories from it. "Jungkook." He hummed in response. "You remember when we first met in that park?" I chuckled at the memory. It wasn't my best, but that's when I met Jungkook so it automatically made it better.
"Yeah... how did you even end up in that situation?" "It's awfully cliché really. I refused to do their homework." I could tell Jungkook was stifling a laugh. "It's ok, you can laugh." Jungkook shook his head. He refused to laugh, which I found a little sweet. "You dork." "No you." I suddenly snaked my arms around his neck and kissed him lightly. "Wha-" "Had to find a way for you to be quiet."
He chuckled. "You were always quite the diva." "Yes I'm fully aware." As expected, he ruffled my hair and planted a soft kiss on my cheek. "I'm tired. Moving is homework." I complained. Yes I know that sometimes I'm bratty, so there's no need to call me a hypocrite, besides, I'd just reply with 'no you'. I take that back. I'm a hypocrite and I don't give a damn.
I felt Jungkook pick me up bridal style. "You said you were tired." This is nice. "I know. Thanks for being considerate. I love you." I sounded so bored, when I was really squealing on the inside. "You sound so stiff." Jungkook chuckled. We were getting some stares, not that we weren't used to it. It happens a lot.
We finally got home, and Jungkook set me down. As soon as he opened the door, I threw myself onto the pull-up couch-bed thingy. I don't know why we didn't sleep in Jungkook's bedroom. It was probably because the living room is so much closer to the kitchen than Jungkook's room. I decided to suggest it anyway. "Jungkook, why don't we sleep in your room tonight?"
Jungkook clicked his tongue and looked deep in thought. "Because there's no TV in my room." "That's a respectable reason." "I know." We stay in comfortable silence for a minute there. I looked up and met his eyes. Oh god, this sounds more romantic than intended. "Will you help me with homework?" Shit. Jungkook smirked. "Looks like you're on the receiving end now, you silly child."
"I'm older than-" "No."
