Tom read through the entire notebook. Closed it then laid down on my bed. Closed his eyes shut never having said a word. It looked like he was sleeping. Does he even sleep? If so is that what he does when he's in the book? And why do I call it the book and not Tom's diary? Also what is it like inside Riddle's Diary?
"Riddle."
"Hm?"
"What does it look like in the book?"
"What?"
"What's it like in the book?"
"I heard you but why do you wanna know."
"I'm curious."
"Now I see why your a Ravenclaw."
"Huh?"
"You look for the answer and with doing so you become Wiser."
"Oh but you still haven't answered my question."
"You wanna see it." Tom asked sitting up.
"Can I?"
"Take my hand." Tom said holding his hand out to me. I placed my hand in his and in that moment we were transported into the book.
Tom was sitting on a black leather couch I was standing in front of him holding his hand. The place was decked out like the Slytherin commons. Don't ask how I know. The main difference is that there's more snake statues, banners, and random curtains. Green, black, and silver everywhere. A spiral staircase lead to a second floor.
"Now listen." Tom said pulling me to him placing a hand on my back he nearly made me fall on him. I braced myself by placing my free hand on the back of the couch. "Here's some simple rules. For starts no going upstairs trust me I'll know if you do." He explained. I nodded in understanding. "Second what happens here stays here." I nodded seems reasonable. "And lastly that here I am Lord and master I can do whatever I please." Tom said. I snickered nodding just wow talk about a being full of yourself Riddle. I mean you got beat my a child twice. Just then I felt Tom's grip tighten.
"Don't rub it in. Besides I'm not full of myself." Riddle explained.I rolled my eyes. "Sure." I snickered.
"I'm serious." Tom said.
"No serious is looking for Harry." I laughed.
"What?" Tom asked I nearly died of laughter.
"Sirius Black is on the loose why else would they have dementors at Hogwarts." I explained.
"Okay?" Tom said letting go of me.
"Thank you." I said taking a step back. I looked around to see different hallways labeled using runes. Looking down the hallways there was dozens of doors and other hallways that didn't match up with others.
Memories broke off into Dreams, Fantasies, and Forgotten. I laughed thinking about how Tom must've at least once or twice admired himself in the mirror or fantasied people bowing before him.
"Mint Elizabeth Mandriff don't make assumptions!" I heard Tom shout sounding highly offended. He's reading my mind...that's creepy. At first it seemed like a sixth sense kind of a thing now I know. "Your right I can read your mind." Tom said appearing behind me. I took a step back and tripped falling over landing on my bum.
"Ow." I said getting up rubbing my bum. Tom laughed at me to which I glared at him in response.
"I'm beginning to think you enjoy freaking me out." I said. Tom only smiled walking off. "Do you?" I asked walking next to him.
"A little." Tom looking at me with a smile. I stopped dead in my tracks Tom stopped walking soon after and turned to look at me.
"Your a real jerk you know that." I growled.
Tom chuckled "I know."
"You seem almost happy about it." I pointed out. Tom shrugged and continued walking. I don't know why but I followed close behind. Their was nothing but silence between us for who knows how long but then.
"Mint." Tom said suddenly.
"Yes." I replied.
"Why do you think that my diary is fascinating?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Let's just say I'm curious."
"Well for starters while yes I've read about linking memories to items. I've never heard of some casting it while in school. Some think it kinda advanced who knows why. Then there's the fact that you can be repaired unlike other items like yourself. You can bring people into the diary. Share your memories. Your a book. This must sound boring to you."
"Not really."
"Okay. Oh I still haven't figured out how to destroy you. You immortal jerk. Oh which reminds me."
"Hm?"
"How do response to messages?"
"I'll show you in a little bit." Tom said stopping next to a large black door. There were two white pillars engraved with snakes on either side.
"What's in there?"
"Go ahead and try to get in I mean it is locked after all."
"And?"
"You don't have your wand."
"And?"
"I'm not giving you the key."
"And?"
"How do you expect to get in?"
"A girl has her ways." I said walking over to the door. I knelt down on one knee in front of it.
"What are you doing?" Tom asked walking up behind me.
"You'll see." I said cracking my fingers. I waved my forefinger and a small light appeared at my finger tip. "Alohomora." I said tapping the lock on the door. The lock clicked and I opened the door with ease.
"What the?" I heard Tom said behind me. Peeking through the door I saw a building that was unbearably gloomy. The orphanage that Tom grew up at. There walking to the door was Dumbledore. I closed the door and walked away. My head held high I walked back down the hallway.
"How did you do that?" Tom said walking in front of me stopping me in my tracks.
"I can somewhat cast without a wand." I explained walking around him.
"Where'd you learn how to do that?" He asked walking up beside me.
"I read it in a book once." I explained walking into the room from before. "You still need to explain something's you know." I said sitting down on the couch.
"Oh the messages." Tom said picking up a black leather bound book from a side table. "This will glow when someone writes in it, and then I write my response." He explained passing it to me. I then noticed another black leather book on the coffee table. This one however had the death eater mark engraved on the cover.
"The diary part of the diary?" I asked pointing at the book on the coffee table he nodded. We hung out in the book being giggling messes at some points. I'll be honest he's smile is nice but only when one of happiness.
