"So you have your regular vacations?" Tom asked. I didn't answer, I've been ignoring him for the past few weeks. Which had gotten on his nerves after a hour or so.
"Quit Ignoring me, I get it okay I messed up." Tom admitted wow that only took forever.
"You pretty much plotted my death." I said pulling my suitcase out from under my bed.
"I told you it was just to see if our lives are interconnected, which turns out to be true." Tom said.
"Oh okay, so you thought hey let's make Mint's fear of snake wrost by having one nearly KILL her, great plan." I said sarcastically as I started packing my clothes.
"What?! No! It was just the easiest way and I had a back up plan just in case." Tom said.
"And if we weren't connected, well bye world." I said.
"Well not exactly." Tom said I looked at him not being able to tell if he was lying, I don't know him that well.
"Do tell." I said packing my things.
"Yeah right after I get the story about the unicorn and you stop ignoring whenever you feel like it." Tom said. Okay the unicorn story sure, but not the ignoring him, that's getting to be rather funny to be honest. He gets so mad and turns into a grumpy grump when I do. Then Dumbledore jumps in and it seems like a notice me senpai situation.
"Well?" Tom asked.
"Yes to half of that." I said zipping up my suitcase and tossing it on my bed.
"Okay which half?" Tom asked.
"The unicorn story half." I said down at my desk.
"What? Why do keep ignoring anyway? There are better things you could do." He said
"But this works so well, and it gives me plenty of data." I said smiling at him.
"Oh that is just evil." Tom said smiling walking over to me.
"No it's the truth, besides what makes it evil?" I said.
"What makes me evil?" Tom asked sitting down on my bed. I thought for a second.
"Let's see there's the whole Nagini situation and Mertle, the rest you technically haven't done yet...wow this is confusing to think about." I said my head hurting a little. Tom didn't say anything almost as though he was thinking hard about his next words. "We should get ready to go." I said grabbing my coat. I then grabbed my hat by it's large purple pomp pomp. Tom didn't say a word as I prepared for the cold.
I grabbed Tom's diary from atop my desk and grabbed my suitcase. Since I'm weak I had to slide it off my bed instead of just lifting it off.
"I can't let you die." Tom mumbled.
"Uh I guess." I said in response.
"If you became immortal would that make me immortal?" Tom asked.
"I don't know, maybe...don't try it." I said.
"Why? Wouldn't you enjoy being unable to die?" Tom asked but I didn't want to answer. Instead I ignored the question and exited my room with my things wanting to get on the train headed home. James stopped me on my way out of the dorms.
"Hey uh Mint, Can I just follow you?" James asked.
"Oh that's right you've never gone away for the holidays." I said remembering all the years that Olivia and him tried to get me to stay.
"Yeah and I don't go home so...yeah." James said awkwardly. It's true he has such bad relationships with some of his family that he hates going home. Heck sometimes he even goes to Aaron's just so he doesn't have to go home. Which often ends with Aaron calling someone for help getting rid of him.
