The next day at breakfast I saw something I never thought I'd see. Like ever in my whole life! Tom was sitting at the Slytherin table with a book. Dumbledore even came in acted like it was nothing like he's been there all year! When in fact he hasn't! Harry didn't react even though they looked right at each other! It's freaky! Everyone was acting like it was normal for him to be there! It wasn't! Has to be a dream right! I pinched myself.
"Ow." I whispered. Nope not a dream, or even a nightmare for that matter, but maybe that's a good thing? I mean he isn't doing anything wrong and he can blend in now. He also isn't bugging me.
I felt something hit the back of my head. I turned around to see a crumpled up piece of paper on the floor behind me. I picked it up and read it.
Just die already you stupid mudblood!
I let out a sigh and placed it in my now empty metal cup. I waved my finger over it and the paper burned completely an puff of smoke forming a skull appeared then vanished. I made my way out of the dinning hall without further delay. I made my way through the halls but stopped when I felt someone following me. I turned around to see Tom a foot away from me.
"What was that about?" He asked.
"Why is no one reacting to you just appearing during the school year?" I asked.
"Answer my question then I'll answer yours." Tom said crossing his arms.
"I don't have to." I said walking away from him. I heard him groan in annoyance as I walked away. I headed to my class early to get some studying in. Then things got stranger still. During class, actually the entire class I felt someone staring daggers at the back of my head. At one point I looked back and saw Tom sitting at a desk his head in his hand. I ignored it as best as possible the rest of the day but, it was hard.
I had left Dinner early but he followed staring daggers at the back of my head as he followed me. I walked to the library and that's when he stopped. I turned around to see that he was gone. I guess he went into the book. I headed to my room a little on edge. I was expecting someone to say something and I still am. No one has said anything to me. I let out a sigh as I closed my bedroom door and sunk to the floor.
"What has you stressing out?" Tom asked. I jumped looking up to see Tom sitting on my bed.
"I can't help it, what can I say I'm worried." I said my back ached. I tried to straighten my back but it still hurt. Tom walked over and held his hand out to me. I took it and he pulled me to my feet. He pulled me into a hug and said "You don't need to worry so much, after all I'll protect you, I have to, I need you alive." It's weird that someone like him can be so comforting. That he's capable of making me feel peaceful. After a while it got awkward though and I tried to push him away but I failed. He held me tight. "Mint." He said resting his chin on my head.
"Tom."
"You really need to relax." He said finally letting go. I nodded then walked over to my desk to try and study my potions. I mean it's not like I can make them, most of the time they explode. I felt Tom's gaze on the back of my head. He made it impossible for me to focus so instead I put his diary in my desk signalling that I was going to change. He let out a sigh then vanished. I got changed then laid down on my bed staring at the wall. I found that my back hurt to much so I had to lay on my stomach. Tom appeared again after a while and knelt down next to my bed.
"Need a massage?" Tom asked. I raised a eyebrow.
"A how did you know? And B you can do that?" I asked. Tom laughed smiling brightly.
"Yes I can." Tom said standing up "Lay still okay." He placed his hands on my back and yet again he made me fall asleep after a while. One from him speaking parcel and now from a massage. It's weird how easy it seems to be for him. Wait hold up he didn't answer my other question!
