mysterious car

mackenzies pov-

team one includes johnny, lauren, and kayla. i walked over to the court.

lauren: "kenzie, you should warm up first".

mackenzie: "i don't need too".

lauren: "alright then".

parker: "Class! The first game is team one and three".

johnny: "alright guys we can do this".

mackenzie: "well yeah".

I was looking around and mark was looking at me strange bc I'm going against him. He doesn't like Johnny at all. Hopefully he doesn't do something to get me hurt because I'm in the back line and johnny is in the front line in front of me. I had to serve the ball. Which is super duper easy.

I served the ball and I watched the other team not touch it. Yay I scored.

We only had 3 minutes left and whoever had the most points would go into the volleyball championships. I served again and the ball came right back and johnny tried to jump up and spike it but, he fell on my bad knee.

mackenzie: "seriously johnny, I could have got that you know".

johnny: "I'm trying to help you".

mackenzie: "I don't need your help".

kayla: "kenzie we have to go".

mackenzie: "okay".

I got my crutches and walked out of the gym and too the elevator.

kayla: "are you okay? johnny fell on you pretty hard".

mackenzie: "yeah".

\loren's house after school/

loren: "johnny what should we do for the project?"

johnny: "i don't know. I have to go to the bathroom where is that?"

loren: "upstairs at the end of the hallway".

johnny's pov-

I walked upstairs and I heard someone singing. The door was cracked open so I took a peak. It was mackenzie. She sounds so beautiful when she sings. I honestly miss hearing her sing. She stood up and I ran straight to the bathroom.

I closed and locked the door behind me. I heard footsteps coming from the hallway and they went away. I unlocked the bathroom door and I took my phone out of my pocket and mackenzie ran into me.

mackenzie: "sorry johnny, here's your phone".

johnny: "thanks?"

mackenzie picked up my phone off of the floor. I surprised that she did that she picked up my phone and didn't leave it on the floor. I walked downstairs and loren was waiting for me.

loren: "what took you so long?"

johnny: "sorry, my phone fell out of my pocket".

loren: "it's okay".

johnny: "should we do a poster for the project?"

loren: "sure, we can start it tomorrow in study hall. we could go to the school library and do some research?"

johnny: "sure see ya tomorrow".

loren: "bye john".

johnny: "bye loren".

I walked out my car and saw something out of the ordinary. a black van parked outside of loren's house. i walked quickly to my car and texted loren.

I locked the doors and windows.

I was about to back up out of the driveway but I heard mackenzie screaming..
