Chapter 6

(Y/n) POV
I excitedly turned on my phone and called Toshi.

"Hey, Tosh I got a really good idea!"

"What?"

"I know how I can swim!"

"Finally you joined the club."

"Nope, I have a better idea after the end of their practice I can just go swimming in the pool!"

"But won't you get in trouble from being in school without being a club. Also with the swim club because of they kind of own the pool."

"And that Tosh, is the reason I'm calling ya."

"Oh my gosh, you want me to be your lookout don't you."

"And that's why you're my best friend."

"I never said I'll do it!"

"Pleaseeeee"

"Ughh fine if it will get you to talk about something other than swimming.."

"Yes, I promise!! Tonight at 5 their practice is over I say we meet at the pool
at 5:45."

"Okay, we better not get caught."

Then I hung up. 'Yesss finally I can swim again!' I rushed home and finished my homework and changed into my (f/c) swimsuit. Then I put clothes over it. I grabbed goggles and a towel and stuffed them into my bag. I tried to get out without anyone noticing but my dad still heard me.

"(Y/n) what are you going?" My dad asked.

"Ummm I'm going swimming," I said. I wasn't lying, after all, it was the truth.

"Oh good to know that you're finally swimming again." He said. "Call me if you need anything."

"Okay I will," I said and shut the door.

Then I texted Toshi that I was leaving. When I was walking I saw Makoto walking back and it confirmed my plan. Then he saw me and called me over.

"Hey (y/n)!" He said waving.

"Hey, Makoto!"

"What are you doing?"

"Umm..." I started to freeze up I can't just say what I'm doing because then he'll know. I can't just say I'm swimming because he knows there's nowhere to swim here.

"I just...am ahh going to the store," I said nervously.

"Oh, do you need help? I just feel like I owe you something after you helping me."

"Umm no not right now, but I'll let you know when I do," I said smiling.

"Okay."

"But for real though you don't actually owe me anything I just wanted to help."

"Oh..."

He sounded surprised I said that. Like no one has ever just done something nice for him and not wanted something.

I felt my phone vibrate a million times and knew Toshi was already there.

"I have to go sorry."

"See ya around."

"See ya."

I rushed over to the school and when I got there I had to explain to a very angry Toshi.

"Whatever hurry up and swim I need to be back by 7."

I speed walked over to the pool and jumped in. The water felt so good it was 90 out today. I swam laps and stuff till 6:50. Then me and Toshi left.

I eventually convinced Toshi to go with me every day and we did for a while and it was great I had been swimming every day that week.

Makoto POV
After we finished practice me and Haru walked back. Almost every day when I walked back to my house I saw (y/n). I kind of wondered what she was doing but it really was none of my business.

"I forgot my stuff." Said Haru.

"Oh, I'll go back with you."

Then we turned around and started to head back to the pool.

Toshi pov
I just stayed outside the pool sitting on the ground looking at my phone like I did every time. I really didn't like doing this every day but it made (y/n) happy. Then I heard talking and I looked up and saw Makoto and Haru walking towards the pool. Frick what do I do?!
