(Y/n) pov
"I won!" I screamed to Evan on the phone.

"Jeez, my ears." He said.

"While I didn't win exactly I beat the qualifying time and (takes a dramatic deep breath.) ifIwinthatwouldbeamazingandcouldyoujustimagineandI'vejuststartedimaginetgatonacollegeresimay!"

"Umm can you repeat basically everything.."

"K so to sum it up can you imagine if I won nationals?"

"That would be amazing!"

"Ugh, I wish you could be here it sucks never seeing you face to face."

"Yeah but a plus is I don't have to listen to you and Tyler fighting 24/7," he said laughing.

"Jump off your freaking high horse with that bs!"

"What?!"

"You fought just as much of not more with him!"

"What no I was and am always the responsible older brother who would put such petty things aside."

"I think the water your drinking there is poisoned!" I said laughing.

"You're barely older than me and do you need me to replay the video I have of you and him fighting."

"That was so long ago."

"It was like 4 months ago," I said rolling my eyes.

Then I clicked play.

"Hey, you little b*tch give me back my phone!" Evan said chasing him.

Tyler was running as fast as he could running with socks. He was slipping down the hallway.

"I'm telling mom you said that!"

"I'm an adult now I can say what I want plus you are being one!"

Then Evan tackled Tyler to the ground. He really didn't stand a chance.

"Need anymore evidence?"

"I didn't hear a thing. All I heard was someone snort laughing."

"Screw off," I said crossing my arms.

"And at least my forehead isn't the size of Texas," I said l salty.

"At least I can come up with original roasts." He snapped back.

"You forgot about your guy's consistent fighting," Tyler yelled.

"Are you eavesdropping right now!" Me and Evan both said.

"Can you blame me? Also, it's kind of hard not to with paper thin walls and your boom phone voice."

"Go away!" I said throwing my shoe at the door.

"Hate to tell you but your shoe can't faze threw walls."

Ughhhhh

"We both forgot one thing," Evan said.

"What's that?"

"When we both teamed up against him."

"Haha yeah, I could really use that right now."

"I got to go anyway. Practice starts soon and you know I got to keep up this perfect streak."

"One for one isn't exactly impressive plus all you did was qualify technically you got 3rd..."

"Lalalala! Can't hear you over my championship!"

"I think you just can't with that massive ego!"

"Shut up." I sang laughing and clicked the end call button before he could say anything.

I grabbed my bag and ran out the door. Not before I swing it at Tyler.

"Hey!"

"Oops, my arm spazzed," I said innocently.

I was probably going to be late but they could start without me.

***after practice***

I started to walk home with Makoto. Then he stopped at the ocean.

"We stoppin' here today?"

"Yeah unless you don't want to?" He asked.

"No, I do it's just you never want to."

"Yeah, today's different though."

Something about this just felt different and I started to feel a little anxious I was picking it up from Makoto.

I didn't sit down and put my hand on the rail and he put his on mine.

This was definitely different but hey I'm not completely.

"I have something I've wanted to tell you..." he said.
