Alyona was was one of the most controling women he knew.
The weird thing was; Seb didn't mind.
Her text had been scarce.
I know where you live. I'll come and get you at 8. Don't be late.
He was more surprised that she had actually texted him, that he paid no mind on the fact that she'd be the one playing the man in their situation.
Seb did want to be the one that could come by her house and get her. Do things proper. He wanted to do things for her. Ease her heart and bear her pain.
He had no idea what she had planned for them. No idea what she wanted to do with him.
It wasn't still eight, but he had been waiting from half past seven, anticipating her with too much eagerness to be able to stay in his flat.
Alyona's Aston rolled to the road and stopped to the side before him. She didn't even pull down the window to greet him. He got the message fast enough and got into the passenger seat beside her.
He closed the door. "Can't believe you sponsor Ferrari, but own an Aston."
"Believe it or not I was never a great fun of Ferrari. Overrated."
"Still a Ferrari though."
Good one, Seb. Next time start talking about her dead mother. He scolded himself mentally.
Alyona had started the car and was speeding up to a road away from the city.
"How's Tiana?" Seb decided to ignore the matter of their destination.
"She's fine. With my dad. He was better and asked to have her over. I'll pick her when we are done here."
Seb shivered. "Don't be like we are committing a crime."
He saw her looking at him through the mirror before she turned back to the road ahead.
"Not a crime. Just something that should have never occurred."
It was a blow to his weak heart. "Are you always that stubborn?"
She kept her mouth shut.
"Am I that terrible? Tiana thinks otherwise I'm sure."
"No, Seb. I'm the terrible one."
He lost it. He lost it completely.
"I've never known how to be...human. Okay? I've always been the bad angry bitch. I never cared about others, never had to put anyone but my benefit first. This is all so new to me, that's reprogramming my DNA. It's too much to take in at once."
He didn't say anything when she stopped and shook her head.
"Never anyone dared to pursue me that consistently as you do. I scared everyone that even considered it. That's how I was raised. Van Dijk might be the worst person alive, but he raised me to take his place when he dies. He raised me as he had been raised and taught me the same shit he knew to become that powerful in the business."
She sighed and took a turn in the road that lead up to a lake.
"I am not good, Sebastian. I'm the fucking worst. The things I've done to earn his respect would send my soul to the deepest den in hell." She shook her head. "It's not that I don't want you in my life. It's not that. My life will just spit you out if you're not compatible with it. And it's going to hurt you."
He never saw it coming. Never anticipated such a heartfelt speech from Alyona.
"And what about you? Aren't you gonna hurt?" He asked, terrified of what the outcome of the answer would be.
