"I'm so sorry that happened to you Allana" I told her as she was done telling her story. I saw her still crying as I got some tissues and started wiping them away from her face. It felt sad as well seeing her crying.
I then spoke. "Actually since we're opening up with our past relationships, I would like to share also some of mine" I spoke. She then tried to calm down and listen to what I had to say. "About a year a year and a half ago, I was dating this girl I met from my mom's colleagues. She and I were happy together"
Her name was Andrea Welsh. Her mom fixed her up with me through my mom. We soon had the best relationship ever. "We were both at the same age and we clearly spent most of our time together. We then decided to move in to an apartment since we both were far from our homes"
We rented out a studio apartment together and we thought it was a good way to spend more time with each other besides the busy schedules of our jobs. I would always wait for her if I finished early and she would do the same, but it was mostly me who was waiting for her. "We were practically living like a married couple."
I loved how I get to see her face everyday. Having her in my arms. Being able to do things together. "One day, she didn't come home that night and I got worried. I searched everywhere for her. I kept texting or calling her and luckily she replied me with a text that said that she was at a work vacation with her colleagues and boss" I remembered that day where I was concerned of her whereabouts.
"She told me not to come since she said she'll be working the whole time. I ignored her request and had to surprise her on my own." I was a man full of surprises. I loved to give them to special people and it made me see how happy they are with what I've done. I continued "When I arrived, I asked anyone for directions about where their company was taking place and it's a good thing I found out the location of the hotel they were staying at"
I even bought my tickets with her and me when we leave the place after 'surprising' her. "I arrived at the hotel and found the room where she was staying. I knocked on the door and hoped I picked the right room. It was opened and revealing her boss with a towel on his torso. I apologized and thought it was her room. Then the next thing surprised me" it turns out that she was in the same room with him. I felt myself trying to not break down in front of her. It hurts me every time I remembered it.
"It turned out that she was sleeping with him and the whole 'work vacation' was just an excuse she came up so she could spend time with him. She confessed the whole truth that she was having this affair during our whole relationship" I started to feel sad and depressed and soon felt that I was crying. I can't believe it brought back so many memories with her.
"I loved her Allana. She was a very special girl to me. I didn't see that she played me the whole time" I did everything just to keep her. I put a lot of effort into being with her. Guess it wasn't worth it to fight for someone that doesn't love me back. "That then became the reason why I don't take relationships seriously, especially girls. Sometimes when I'm with one, I get to have flashbacks of me and her and how she cheated on me with a f*cking a*shole." it still pains me to even be with another person or in another relationship.
"I was just afraid if I would get cheated on again so I pull this dominant masculine physique just to show others that I'm not a softy and I'm not a pushover" I said.
"That's why you acted like that when we first met?" she asked.
"Yeah and I felt bad about it. I realized that I shouldn't show off on what people see me based on my gender. Guys can be emotional too and that's what I felt whenever I get the chance to be with you in one room" I then got a hold of her hands and squeezed them a bit tight. "Allana, you made me change the way I see things and I see that you are a very beautiful and sweet person. And I know you would still forgive me after what I did to you. I'm just so sorry for my behavior, but I assure you that it won't happen again" I looked into her eyes and started to appreciate her once more.
Her face softened for a bit as she looked at me while listening to me. She really does know how to consider people's feelings. I then continued. "You made me this way and I'm very happy about it. I never realized I could be happy again and to be with someone who I know won't mess things up again" I then leaned in closer to her face. I had no choice, but to kiss her lips as I held her cheek to make it even more passionate.
The kiss was sweet and gentle as I felt her hand on my cheek and my hand moved down to her hips. The kiss was a bit long, but we stopped for a while. She pulled away before I did. She looked at me once more. "How did I get so lucky to be in the same room, let alone, in the same house with you?" I smiled when she said that as we continued kissing. Then heard someone's keys from the outside of the door and heard it being opened.
"Oh my God" we heard a voice and was surprised upon seeing who it was.
