"Hello! I came as soon as I heard" I heard Mrs. Williams bursting through the door as she entered the room quickly to make her way over to us. She was sweating from probably running. She continued at the same time catching her breath. "Did they text you? Where's the address?" She was a bit frantic at that time."It's okay, Mrs. Williams. You're not too late. They haven't sent the address yet" I told her. We were all waiting at the police station for George to send me the address. We decided to let everyone, specifically her mom and the police know what's their plan when it comes to situations like this.
All of a sudden, my phone rang for notification. I noticed it was a number, but did not hesitate to open it. I opened it and they sent the address. I showed it to the police for they can navigate and plan on what's going to happen tomorrow.
The Chief was planning, along with the other officers. They even let us and Allana's mom involved in this plan of attack. We soon agreed on what the Chief was saying. I saw Mrs. Williams face. It was a combination of pale and worried expressions. I placed my hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, Mrs. Williams. We can save Allana" she smiled, it's as if I calmed her down with my words. She hugged me and I hugged back.
~THE NEXT DAY~
It was 5 in the afternoon and we were all at this abandoned warehouse which was hours away from the city. There were about 6 police cars and one ordinary one that we used to get here. All of the policemen were armas with ballet proof vests. The chief huddled us in the back of his car.
"Since we're at the exact place where they sent us the address, we will be ready at any moment when they attack. I'm going to ask one of our men to be able to give the money personally to the kidnappers" he told us. I stopped in and said.
"Wait, chief. I got us into this mess. I should be the one to give them the money" I told them. I continued. "Please? He's my brother. Let me be the one to persuade him in giving Allana back to us" I pleaded. I know I was responsible behind this problem so why shouldn't I be the one to end it.
He looked at the rest as they agreed and soon threw me a bulletproof vest. "Okay then. Once you're in there, we will give you 15 minutes to let the hostages go so we can plan on attacking his men in the building. If you're not out after 15 minutes, we have no choice, but to enter the building ourselves" I put on the vest, got the case full of money. The boys hugged me for good luck as well as Mrs. Williams. She coupled my face and said.
"Do whatever you can to save my daughter" I nodded and we both hugged. I then ran to the entrance and was able to go inside. It was a bit dark, but there were lights only in the middle of the building.
It was quiet. Almost too quiet. It felt sketchy that no one was there. I looked everywhere and all of a sudden heard a voice.
"Well if it isn't my favorite step-brother" I looked at the front and from the shadow corners, I saw George.
"I'm your only step-brother" I snapped back.
"That's why you're my favorite" he smirked. I rolled my eyes as a reaction.
"Where are they? Where are my friends?" I started yelling because I could feel my anger boiling inside me. At the same time worried what he might've done to them. Especially Allana.
"Not so fast. Where's the money I was looking for?" He asked me as he took a few steps closer.
"It's in here" I showed him the case that was on my left hand.
"Wait- just so I know you're not lying" I heard a gun as I turned around and saw one of his men pointing a gun at me. I slowly placed the case on the ground and opened it. I turned the case around for him to see that I wasn't lying.
"Very good, dear brother" he told me. He started to examine the money and counted them. He continued. "As promised" his men brought out Louis and Allana, although their mouths were covered with a handkerchief. I looked at the both of them and noticed Louis got beaten up, but not that bad. There were only a few bruises on his face. Same with Allana.
Seeing her, made me excited and happy. George nodded the man who was holding Louis captive and threw him in front of me. I quickly helped him stand up and removed the cloth from his mouth and the ropes on his hands. I noticed he hasn't released Allana yet.
"Hey! We had a deal! I give you the money and let them go" I started raising my voice at him. He let out an evil laugh as he went his way over to Allana and stood behind her.
"I'm not going to let her go that easily," he said. He fixed her hair and placed it behind her as his hands were placed on her shoulders. "I don't want her to go without her knowing that her beloved babysitter/boyfriend lied to her"
I noticed her reaction and she was confused like myself. What is he talking about?
"What are you saying?" I told him.
"I'm saying is that she deserves the truth about you. Your life, your job and your feelings for her" my eyes widened with fear. Does he know about the bet? I hope it's not.
"No! Please don't!" I yelled at him.
"Listen well, my dear. Your beloved boyfriend made a deal that he wouldn't last a month or two without falling for a girl like you" he said it loud and clear in front of all of us. He left her and made his way over to me.
I saw her expression and reaction. Her eyes became soft and I could feel her about to tear up. She tried wiping them away with her tied up hands. I started to cry as well.
