Ugh, this is why:
Actual Nerd: Spends about 99.9% of their time studying for a test if they have one.
Wattpad Nerd: Goes partying and getting drunk, but still gets a fucking A+ on the test.
Actual Nerd(Otaku most likely): Crushes on Eren Jeager or some other sexy anime/manga character.
Wattpad Nerd: Most likely crushes on their biggest enemy or One Direction *pukes* and doesn't realize it.
Actual Nerd: Will go into a bathroom stall and bawl if they get insulted by the she-devil mean girl.
Wattpad Nerd: Will give that little bitch what she deserves and get respect from the popular dude.
Actual Nerd: Probably looks like an average human being(maybe slightly uglier) without her glasses on.
Wattpad Nerd: Looks like a motherfucking goddess without her glasses on and instantly gets popular.
Actual Nerd: Has almost no friends and everyone hates her fucking guts.
Wattpad Nerd: Has about a zillion friends and is loved by everyone except the ugly-ass popular girl.
Those are just some things you girls need to get straight.
