Dec. 17th
Taylor's family pulled into the driveway of the beach house they'd previously spent the summer at. It was the winters month so everything seemed more quiet and it wasn't as hot as before but still warmer then back home at Indiana. Taylor felt weird being here without Shawn. I mean what was you supposed to do? Hang out with his sister? Walk the beach alone? It bothered him the way Shawn acted when he reached out he was really hoping for a better reply but what can he expect after doing what he did to Shawn. He couldn't even be mad or upset about Shawn's little comment.
Taylor grabbed his suitcase and headed up the multiple steps that lead to the door of the family beach house. He used the key his mom gave him to unlock the door and walked in it was the same as had they left it. He made his way up to the room he stayed in all summer. He stood in the doorway looking out the balcony window at the empty house next door, so many memories coming to his mind. He was unsure about even wanting to be here, but at least his parents got his own rental car this time so he could explore more then just the small shops near the beach house.

I know my mom is lying she has to be no way she's about to make me do this. I mean I knew my parents my friends with Taylor's mom but not good enough that they have to have dinner just because they're in California. I don't want to see Taylor everything is going to come back he's probably gonna try and talk to me, but there's no way my parents are gonna let me stay home.
I stared at the sunset as we drove back to the place I met Taylor. I can't even have positive thoughts about that place anymore he's completely ruined it for me. I hate him so much I really do, I hate him for doing me like that. If he wanted to be just a summer fling then why lead me on like you wanted something different, I'll never understand.
"I bet you're so ready to see your little boyfriend" My sister laughed as we pulled into the driveway of our beach house. My parents didn't feel like driving back that night so we were gonna stay just the night.
"Please shut up" I scoffed unbuckling my seatbelt and stepping out the car grabbing my bag as I did so. I got an anxious feeling in my stomach just being there knowing I was about to see his face again. All these feelings were coming back.
I sighed following my parents up the stairs and into the house. I walked up into my room just to put my bag down because we were going right across the street to eat dinner with Taylor's family. No hard feelings towards them I was happy to see them, I adored Taylor's mom so much sweetest person I've ever met I don't know how her son could be so heartless.
Shawn and his family made their away across the small path leading down to the beach instead just going straight across the Taylor's beach house. Manny knocked on the door and waited as footsteps neared the door. Taylor was not even aware about the company they were having tonight, his mom never mentioned it to him she figured it'd be a good surprise. She wasn't really aware of what had went on between Taylor and Shawn.
The door opened and they were greeted by Payton she smiled wide when she seen her best friend from over the summer them two had kept in close contact, they both squealed and hugged each other. Shawn smiled lightly and his eyes shifted up looking into the house.
"Who's her-" Taylor walked up to the door cutting himself off when he seen Shawn standing there. "Hey guys.." He was confused and definitely wasn't expecting to see Shawn, all confusion aside though Taylor stomach erupted in butterflies he felt like he was going to puke. He was nervous.
Taylor welcomed them into the house and his parents joined everybody in the living room to greet their guest. The two girls ran up stairs to catch up and the adults went into the kitchen to do the same leaving Taylor and Shawn alone in the living both of them set on opposite couches playing on their phone. The tension was thick in the air. Taylor caught himself looking up at Shawn every other second.
He thought about how good he looked sitting there he had a straight face, Taylor could tell Shawn didn't want to be there. Taylor knew this was the only time he could talk to Shawn though he couldn't let him slip away again not like Shawn can leave him on read in person.
"So, you're getting better dick now huh?" I broke the silence, Shawn looked up a little surprised at my words or the fact that I even spoke to him at all then laughed.
"That's all I get? Not a sorry I ghosted you, or sorry I hurt you?" He rolled his eyes and continued scrolling on his phone. I shook my head and looked down, I'm so fucking stupid. I should've thought that through.
"Can we go for a walk, please?" I asked looking at him, Shawn shook his head no. He's so stubborn, he's so sexy when he's stubborn fuck I don't understand how I ever let this boy go.
