After the long day I am happy to finally go to sleep. I wake up the next day to smell burnt pancakes. My mom isn't the best cook. I don't open my eyes to avoid my sister poking then out when she wakes me up by jumping on me. I don't feel anything and I hesitate to open my eyes, but I do. I don't see her but I know she's here somewhere. I look around for her but go down stairs so I'm not late. I'm still in my pjs and look in the fridge. I turn around and on the counter is a plate of pancakes, burnt as usual. I see a note and it said, "Stal, when you wake up look at the time. Your father is at work and I tried to wake you up and you wouldn't. Enjoy the pancakes and don't be late for school!!" I scream and run up stairs and find my bunny clock, such an embari-monster! It's 6:45 and I think that I missed the bus and remember that i have a car now. I put on a comfortable outfit and head off munching on the burnt piece of pancake. I start driving and run 3 stop lights. Good thing there's not many cops in the morning in Pasadena. I get to school and the last open spot is next to Melissa M. I can tell that it's her car because on the license plate it said her initials "MLM" I wonder what the L means. I go into school and I know I'm late. I wish I was homeschooled so life would be much easier. I go to my dad's office and give him a hug and start to cry. He looks confused and asks me the obvious question, why. I don't say a word so he doesn't think he has failed as a parent. He tells me to go home and relax. I'm happy that i get to go home but I looked forward to seeing that mystery boy, even though he is Melissa's what you call "property". I get into my car and drive off. Before I get to the end of the parking lot, I notice a ticket on my wind shield. Ugh great I think. I try to brainstorm what I could do to make my life great. I miss my old house and my old friends and my old school. I wish things were the way they used to be and that everyone didn't hate me. I remember that my 16th birthday party was coming up and I get excited. I just dream of getting treated like royalty for once.
