The next morning I woke up with a mission: find out more about Xander. He's sometimes open and friendly and other times he's a mystery to me, but that's what intrigues me about him.
Outfit. The below.
Hair: wavy, half up half down."Morning" Xander said walking into the kitchen, "morning" I said smiling back, "breakfast is served" I announced while placing two plates of eggs and avocado toast on the counter, "there's also a fruit salad" I said while picking up the bowl and taking my seat, "thank you" he said with a smile while taking a seat next to me, "I wasn't sure what you liked so I hope this is ok" I said mentally crossing my fingers, "it's perfect" he reassured me.
"Thank you again for breakfast, my turn tomorrow" He said as we walked up the trail, "be my guest" I replied with a grin. "Let's play 21 questions" I proposed, "alright" he said amused after hesitating. "We'll start easy, how old are you?" I asked, "26 in October, you're 23 right?" He said making me nod in response.
"Favorite food" I asked soon after, "frosting" he immediately responded, "frosting?" I asked amused, "buttercream to be exact" he said in a serious tone which made me laugh, "it is delicious" I said somewhat agreeing with him, "what's yours?" He asked with a smile, "bread" I said after thinking it through.
"Favorite color?" I asked already knowing the answer, "if it wasn't already obvious, black" he confirmed as we both laughed, "green for me" I said with a smile.
"If you could have any superpower, what would it be?" He asked in a curious tone, "teleportation would probably be the most useful one" I said while thinking out loud, "glad to hear your answer isn't flying" he said with a grin, "I'd have to have telekinesis" he added, "and why is that?" I asked interested, "it'd be similar to having super strength but without lifting a finger" he explained sure of himself, "can't argue with that" I replied amused.
"Do you believe in ghosts?" I asked after we stopped for a water break, "sure, haven't seen one yet though" he said with a shrug, "same here" I replied with a smile before taking a sip from my bottle.
Once we started walking again, "biggest pet peeve?" He asked giving me a quick glance, "inconsiderate pedestrians aka when the person in front of you stops walking all of a sudden" I said before rolling my eyes, "good one, I think mine is when you hold the door for someone and they don't acknowledge your existence" he said making me laugh, "rude much" I said in agreement.
"Ok, favorite holiday?" I asked, "isn't everyone's answer Christmas?" He said in a duh tone as if it was obvious, "nope, Halloween for me" I said proudly making him raise an eyebrow, "weirdo" he muttered to himself, "says the frosting guy" I muttered back making us both laugh.
"What books do you like to read?" He asked with a smirk on his face, probably referring to the book I was hiding from him, "you know, just your typical crime books" I casually said not wanting to give away the full truth, "right" he said not convinced, "what about you?" I asked trying to turn the attention on him, "thrillers mostly" he replied with a shrug.
