Chat Noir disappears for a while but Adrien is still around. Ladybug being worried starts searching for her missing partner. But when he shows up one day, something is off and Ladybug tries to figure out what happened.

He messed up, he knew that. He saw the hurt in her eyes when he said he had to go. He should have just stayed home, why on earth did he think it would be a good idea to come out and see her? He just feels so lonely with out Plagg. He just wanted a friend. But then she brought up 'Chat Noir' who ever that is now. It just sent a horrible sting in his chest, he didn't want to think of him. He didn't want to think of Ladybug hugging him, laughing with him, or falling for him.
He lays on his bed his eyes watery. What is he going to do? How is he going to fix this? How is suppose to convince Ladybug he's Chat Noir? The actual Chat Noir. Who is this guy anyway, he isn't just some person who just found his miraculous. No, who ever this person is he is pretending to be him. Ladybug would never hug someone she barely knows, she would be upset he was gone. Wouldn't she?
Or maybe she doesn't care. Maybe she is just so upset about him not coming to help she doesn't care someone took place? No, that can't be possible. They're partners. She might not have the same feelings for him but they were close, they stilled cared for each others. They were friends. There was no way she could just not care that he was replaced. But that hug? What does that mean?
Adrien sits up looking at his computer desk. He stands up and walks over opening the drawer. He pulls out his miraculous box. It feels like just yesterday he met Plagg. His best friend. Explaining how he was now the hero of Paris, how he has super powers and a partner. He would give anything to have Plagg back. To hear his snarky remarks about everything. Or smelling up his room with his cheese. He missed his best friend, his best friends. He lost them both. He sits on his chair and lets a breath as a tear slides down his cheek.
Marinette on the other hand was feeling just as bad. She sits on her bed, Tikki by her side. "I know he's upset Tikki but I had hoped I cheered him up a bit last night." She says remembering how he left. Why did he even bring her out there if he was just going to leave in the first 5 minutes? "That ring must have meant a lot Marinette. Who ever gave it to him must have been really special. Don't take it personal, he's just going through a rough."
Marinette nodded still feeling the stingy feeling in her chest, "Yeah, you're right." She whispers. Tikki sees her friends pain, she gets an idea to cheer her up. "Well at least Chat Noir is back!" she says flying in front Marinette's face, her arms spread wide. Marinette looks at her with a giant smile. "Yeah! You were right Tikki, he is completely fine. I'm so happy he's back." She says honestly. She thinks back to earlier, how they were looking into each other's eyes. The butterflies came back. She shook her head trying to get those feelings to go away.
She should only feels this way towards Adrien. Adrien. Her chest starts to sink again. She thought they were finally getting close. He seemed so happy walking her back home that night. It all felt like a dream. Maybe that's all it was, just a dream. He wasn't falling for her. But Chat, Chat really cared for her. Maybe having these feelings for him aren't so bad? But Adrien, she doesn't want to let go, not just yet. He's just upset right now. It has nothing to do with her. She should just focus on Chat Noir being back. Her partner. Who she's meeting up for patrol. She can't wait to hear all his stupid puns again, or hear his nicknames for her. She wants it to be like before, just friends.
"Are you ready to go Marinette? It's almost time to meet up for your patrol!" Tikki says flying to Marinette in excitement. "If I didn't know any better, I would say you missed him too." She says with a smirk. Tikki giggled, "I just like seeing you happy Marinette." Tikki says happily. Marinette smiled at her little red friend feeling such affection. "I love you Tikki." Tikki smile grows wider, she flyings to Marinette's cheek giving her a small hug. "I love you too Marinette! You're the best!" Marinette giggles as she flies off. "Okay Tikki, let's go. Spots On!"
Theo sits at his table, the moon is already out shining in the sky. He sits there in his dark apartment, all the lights turned off. He flips through his sketch book, looking at all his ideas. He doesn't remember a lot of what happened today, but he does remember getting fired. Losing his dreams. Why did they do this to him? He was the best at his work, even Ladybug herself liked his work! They had no right to let him go, kick him out of his studio. How could they just get away with this! He slams his fist on the table making his glass of water spill a bit.
The window opens and Hawk Moth is already ready for the next turn. He sends his little akuma to Thea. Copycat needs to go meet Ladybug. She must be waiting already for her partner. There's no way she wouldn't be there early waiting for him. His recent disappearance must have her on edge. She's going to want to stay close to him, then when she least expects it he'll take the her miraculous. And soon or later Chat Noir will be forced to come out of hiding and then he'll get his as well! Everything just needs to go according to plan.
