Chat Noir disappears for a while but Adrien is still around. Ladybug being worried starts searching for her missing partner. But when he shows up one day, something is off and Ladybug tries to figure out what happened.

Chat Noir?! Is he really staring at Chat Noir? No that can't be? How can that be? Did someone else find his ring? But, green eyes. Blond hair? It's him, but it can't be him. His heart is racing. Ladybug starts laughing. She jumps up and wraps her arms around him. What's going on? Who is this person? His heart breaks as he watches frozen in his spot. She pulls away and swings away. He watches her as she leaves. Then he turns back to Chat Noir, he watches her leave as well. Adrien clenches his fists, this can't be happening. He looks exactly like him, now if he tells Ladybug he's Chat Noir she won't believe him. Chat Noir jumps away leaving Adrien watching him leave. He can't do this, his heart has been shattered. Losing his ring was the worst thing that's ever happened. He slowly walks home, he can't deal with this right now, or ever. He officially lost the love of his life.
Copycat leaps into his apartment window, and the hawk moth wings appear. "Good job Copycat. You made a good appearance, now i'll remove your power for tonight. But don't worry we'll continue tomorrow." The hawk moth wings disappear and the akuma flies out of the picture and out of the window.
The Chat Noir suit vanishes and Theo falls onto the fall. His head spinning. He looks up and stares at his wall. What happened? How did he end up here? A part of him remembers this feeling, but no Chat Noir or Ladybug this time? No one. Just the darkness of his room. Maybe he just blanked out for the day, he doesn't remember eating earlier. He got up and went to make something to eat. He tried not to think too much of it. Maybe it won't happen again.
The akuma flies back to Hawk Moth. It rest on his hand as he smiles at it. "Good job my little akuma. Once Copycat gains her trust he'll have an easier time taking her Miraculous. And Chat Noir has to come out eventually. And with the Ladybug miraculous, it'll be easier to take his. And then i will have them both."
Marinette smiles happily at Tikki. "He's back Tikki! He's really back!" Tikki smiles at her friend, seeing her excitement. "I told you Marinette. You were worrying for nothing." She spun around her room. "I miss him already." She froze instantly. She didn't just say that. Tikki looks at her surprised. Marinette's smile drops instantly. Did she really say that? Her hearts aches a tiny bit. She was feeling fuzzy and warm. The way she feels when she's with Adrien. She can't possibly feel that way with Chat Noir. Can she? No! She's in love with Adrien! "I mean, i'm just worried he'll disappear again."
She started looking away from Tikki picking up her phone. One missed call. She checks and it's from Adrien! She missed a call from Adrien! Adrien was calling her! What if he thinks she's ignoring him now!! "What's the matter?! What's happened?! Marinette!" Tikki says panicking at her friend who looks terrified. "Adrien called and i missed it!" She says face palming herself. "So why don't you call him back Marinette?" Tikki said smiling at her friend. "Of course! Right! I can do that!" She hops up and sits in her chair looking at the call button. Her nerves are jumping and going crazy. She can't. Her mind won't let her. "I can't." She says freaking out. Tikki sighs and shoots down clicking the call button. Marinette jumps.
He lays on his bed, his arm on his eyes. Today was horrible, the worst day of his life. His phone starts ringing. He debates just letting it go to voicemail. Maybe it'll be a good distraction. He rolls over and reaches for his phone. He didn't even check who it was. "Hello?" He said not trying to hide his painful voice. "Uhhhh Hi Adrien! It's Marinette. Uhhh, i just uh wanted to, um know why you called earlier. Not that it's a problem! I'm not saying that at all!" He smiled to himself. He could picture her face whenever she does that. "Hey Marinette. I just called to talk i guess. Hey, i know it's kind of late, but do you think can meet me at the park?" He asked. He needs a distraction and Marinette seems like the perfect person to go to.
Is he asking her out!?!?! No! He sounded upset at first! Maybe he needs to just talk and because she was there that night she's the person he thought of. Her heart melts thinking that he's comfortable enough with her, he trust her. Maybe after this he'll confess. Or maybe, just maybe, she should. She should finally tell Adrien how she feels about him. Maybe he'll feel the same.
"Of course! I mean...yea i'm free." Her smile on her face his glowing. The butterflies in her stomach going crazy. She looks over at Tikki, who smiling at her. "Ok, i'll see you there." He said before hanging. Marinette jumped throwing her arms in the air. SHe spun around her room excited. "What happened?" Tikki said trying to keep up with her friend. Marinette stopped and looked over at Tikki. "He wants to meet at the park! With me!" Marinette started spinning around again, the smile on her face is huge. "After school tomorrow?" Tikki asked happy for her friend. Marinette stopped and smiled at her friend. "Now! Tikki spots on!"
Adrien quietly walked down the stairs trying not to make a single sound. He remembers how easy it was so sneak out as Chat Noir. All he had to do was jump out his window and no one know. Now he has to sneak out like everyone else, a higher risk of getting caught. Once down stairs, he headed to the back door, being extra careful to shut it quietly. The cold night air felt refreshing. He took in a deep breath, he wishes he could transform and just get there. But he's stuck walking, like everybody else. He truly is like everyone else.
He still needs to figure out who's the new Chat Noir. He looks exactly like him! The hair color, eyes. He needs to get close enough to hear his voice. But wouldn't Ladybug notice if his voice was off? Maybe she did. Maybe the new Chat Noir explained he found the miraculous and she was just ok with that? But wouldn't they look different? It doesn't make sense that they would look exactly the same! He sighed and started walking to the park.
Marinette looked around waiting for Adiren. It feels like before he was quicker at meeting up. It only took him a few minutes. Maybe he did mean tomorrow after school and she was just too excited to realize. That's when she saw him walking towards. He looks upset. She walked over to him, they met in the middle of the park. "Hey Marinette, thanks for coming." He said not meeting her eyes. Worry seemed to fill her then, she gently touched his shoulder. "Are you alright Adrien?" She asked. He nodded a bit. His heart felt like it was breaking completely.
What if he tells Marinette? Tell her that he is Chat Noir, tell her that wasn't him today. Would she believe him? And if she did what would she say? The ring was gone, Ladybug has a new a partner. And what does it matter if it looks like him or not? There's nothing left to do. Telling Marinette would make no difference. "Yea i'm fine." He finally replied.
Of course she didn't believe him for a moment. She looked at the ground, slowly moving her hand away. Maybe he doesn't trust? Maybe he just wanted a distraction and because she called, she was convenient? If he wants a distraction, she could do that no problem! She smiled at him, hoping he would smile back but he wasn't even looking at her. She quickly looked away. "So um, have you heard Chat Noir is back?" She asked trying to break the silence. It didn't work though. It looked like it upset him more because she saw he clenched his jaw.
They stood in silence for a few minutes. Adrien finally spoke, "i'm sorry Marinette. I just have a lot on my mind and i'm sorry but i shouldn't have came out. Sorry to have wasted your time." He started to walk away but Marinette grabbed his arm stopping him. "Wait!" She pleaded. He turned finally meeting her blue eyes, seeing the sparkle in them. Finally seeing her in the moonlight like he did the last time. And just like before he got butterflies in his stomach. He looked back down as he got an urge to touch her cheek. "I have to go." He said before turning back and walking.
Marinette watched as he walked away leaving her in the park. She wanted to run after him but what would she say? He obviously didn't want to talk to her, pushing him would only make it worse. She closed her eyes trying to push away the ache in her chest and the tears in her eyes. She started to walk home after minutes.
