Chat Noir disappears for a while but Adrien is still around. Ladybug being worried starts searching for her missing partner. But when he shows up one day, something is off and Ladybug tries to figure out what happened.

"Mom! I cant find Spotty!" 10 year old Tommy said running inside the kitchen from the back door. His mom rolled her eyes and kept stirring the soup in the pot. "He's around here somewhere, he'll show up soon." She said not looking at her son once. Hes worry did not go down a bit. He ran out the front door searching the street, the dog treat in his head in case he found Spotty. He turned his head side to side, searching yards and the side walk, but there was no sign of his dog. He ran to the left, his feet pounding on the side walk, Spotty was only a puppy, not prepared to be out in the world. Anything could happen to him, Tommy worried more. He could feel the tears building up, he didnt want to lose Spotty, he couldnt bear the thought of losing him.
An hour had passed and he couldnt find his poor puppy anywhere. His was exhausted, he couldnt keep searching, he couldnt keep running, the knot in his throat was too big. He fell on his knees and the tears came pouring. He was never going to find Spotty.
A circle window opened in the city, and the butterflies rose from the ground flutter around the room. Hawk Moth stood there, an evil grin on his face. A butterfly landing in his hand as it turned purple, he sent the akuma out to catch the next victim.
The akuma approached Tommy, who still sat there crying. His mother didnt care about Spotty, she didnt even want him. She had probably left the door open and let him walk right out. This was her fault. The akuma landed on the treat he held in his hand. The hawk moth wings appeared on his eyes. "Howler, youve lost your puppy. Your mother lost your best friend. Ill help you take revenge if thats what you want." Hawk Moth said smiling. "yes." Tommy said in sure voice. "Great, all you have to do is bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous."
The wings disappeared and Tommy's skin began to grow dark brown fur, his eyes turning a bright red, a puffy tail growing, his nails growing sharp and long as well as he teeth, his clothes began to tear as his entire body was growing extremely fast. A werewolf like creature. He held a bag full of doggy treats, as he marched toward his home. A women walked out of her house and screamed at the sight of the Howler. He pulled out a treat before she could run and threw it at her. The moment it touched her skin she transformed in a dog, vicious and big. She started to follow him, as he marched his way throwing the treats at all who saw him. His pack growing quickly.
Night was coming quickly, it was becoming harder to see in the dark. Alya got an idea to help her friend with her crush. She pulled Nino quickly by the sleeve, "I totally forgot! I needed help with my homework! Nino you said you'd help me study." Nino looked confused, "I didn-" "Lets go!" Alya said quickly pulling him away. Marinette looked shocked and quickly nervous. She was now alone with Adrien, she couldnt mess this up. She would be calm, find the ring and maybe they could hang out, just them. Her heart fluttered for a second, then she realized Adrien was sitting on his knees upset. He was giving up hope.
She went beside him, "we'll find it, dont give up just yet." He tried to smile, but he couldnt. He had messed up the best part of his life, he regrets taking it off, he never should have done it. No matter what anyone said. He should have listened to Plagg.
They a heard a scream, not any scream but Alya's. They stood up quickly looking the way Alya and Nino left. Then Nino came running from around the corner, pure fear on his face but before he could get any closer he was hit with something. Nino was no longer Nino, but a black huge dog with razor sharp teeth. Adrien grabbed Marinette's hand as the began to run away.
Marinette needed to transform, Chat Noir should be out by now. They ran behind the dumpster, she need to make sure Adrien was safe first, then she'll go. Or she just needed to get away from him and Ladybug could help him. "Ill go check if the alley is safe to go through." She said before getting up. Adrien grabbed her hand, "Stay safe." He said and Marrinette disappeared into the alley.
Adrien pulled open his coat, "Plagg claws-" He stopped himself, he couldnt do anything. He couldnt help. Then he realized he let Marinette go off alone. He had forgot he didnt have his miraculous, he thought he could help her as he soon as he transformed. He need to go help her. He ran after her into the alley, once he got there, she was no where to be seen. Was he too late? Then his green eyes met the glowing red ones. Across the alley he saw the the Howler. His heart was racing, his feet were stuck in place as the Howler reached into his bag. Chat would have no problem running toward him full speed. But Adrien for some reason was frozen still. He had no clue what to do. The treat went flying toward him, but before he could be hit a yoyo wrapped around his arm and he was pulled to the roof a building.
Ladybug stood beside him staring at the Howler, and he was at her. His teeth bear for her to see. The Hawk Moth wings appeared. "Get me the Miraculous!" He said harshly. They vanished. The Howler, on all fours ran toward Ladybug and Adrien. She quickly grabbed Adrien and swung away. He climbed on the buildings and was chasing after them. Ladybug was getting worried, he was fast, catching up. "We need to hide. He cant fit through a window." Adrien said pointing at a window. It was Marinette's room, her window wide open. Enough space for them to fit, and the Howler would be stuck outside. But all her pictures of Adiren, he'll find out about her crush on him. She couldnt do it, there had to be another way. But time was running out, he was almost to them, his claw almost touching her hair. "Now!" Adrien yelled worried. And through the window they went. They both rolled on the floor.
Ladybug quickly using her yoyo knocking down the photos of Adrien before he noticed. The Howler's arm went through the window trying to reach one of them, scratches filled the walls of the room, tearing the wall paper and anything in its way. Adrien breathing heavily, he couldnt believe how helpless he was. Marinette was gone because of him, he wasnt able to help her, he wasnt even able to help himself. Ladybug quickly stood up, she grabbed onto Adrien's arm as well lifting him off the ground. "We're going to go down stairs, you'll stay here where its safe." They went down stairs without another word. Ladybug's parents were in the living room trying to hide, the door locked. "Ladybug!" They said cheerfully. "Im going to have to leave, try to stay safe." She smiled. As she went to the door Adrien grabbed her arm, she felt the blushing rising, his heart was racing.
She needs him, Chat Noir, he wanted to tell her, warn her that she'll have to do it alone. Or to let him help because he was the other hero of Paris. But he couldnt, but he felt the desperate need to. "My friend Marinette, i left her at the park." He said feeling the guilt. He left Marinette, if something happened to her it was his fault. "Ill try and find her." She said before running out the door.
