Death Date

I stand in the middle of my room looking at my arm. It was counting down the numbers to when I was supposed to die.

Which is five minutes from now. My friends stand all around me. Except for Maddelin and Chase who are standing right next to me.

I look at the time two minutes left. Tears stream down my face.

I look up at Chase. He was looking down at me tears also streaming down his face.

I never had the nerves to tell him I had a huge crush on him, but now it was too late.

I look at the time it read, 30 seconds. I take a deep breathe and close my eyes. I count down the seconds left. 10, 9, 8, 7......

3, 2, 1.

I open my eyes to see the light but I'm actually laying on my bedroom floor with Chase holding my hand crying.

I realize nothing had happened and that I'm still alive but how?

"Chase" Kelcie exclaims.

"What?" He croaks.

"She's alive" Kelcie says.

"You're joking" Chase tells her.

I take my other hand a cover his hand with mine. He looks up at me and gasps. Soon I'm tackled in a hug on the ground with a crying Chase.

He holds me tightly making sure I don't die on him. I look down at my arm and it read 0:00.

I should be dead but I'm not.

I can't hear anything over the sound of Chase's sobs. My friends stand there stunned.

I sit there imprisoned by Chase's arms as he cries.

Kelcie runs up and hugs me. "I LUSH CHU, CHILD!" She screams crying.

"I LUSH CHU TOO, MOMMY!!!" I scream. We had a little inside joke with that.

I look over at Maddelin who was just standing there not doing anything. Zoey shakes her and Maddelin collapses.

Hayden picks her up and sets her on the bed.

Zoey looks at her arm and it still has fifty years on it. Lucky.I am supposed to be dead. She has flippin' fifty more years on earth.

She finally wakes up and she yells"Your alive!"

I nod and she tackles me in a hug.

I ask"Why am I not dead?"

They shrug 

"What a help y'all are." I say

"I say you and I should go figure out why." Maddelin says.

I nod and reply"Tomorrow night."

She nods and says"Let's all go home and give her some space."

Everybody nods and leaves."

I pace my room for at least five minutes.
